[clang][CGRecordLayout] Remove dependency on isZeroSize (#96422)
This is a follow-up from the conversation starting at
https://github.com/llvm/llvm-project/pull/93809#issuecomment-2173729801

The root problem that motivated the change are external AST sources that
compute `ASTRecordLayout`s themselves instead of letting Clang compute
them from the AST. One such example is LLDB using DWARF to get the
definitive offsets and sizes of C++ structures. Such layouts should be
considered correct (modulo buggy DWARF), but various assertions and
lowering logic around the `CGRecordLayoutBuilder` relies on the AST
having `no_unique_address` attached to them. This is a
layout-altering attribute which is not encoded in DWARF. This causes us
LLDB to trip over the various LLVM<->Clang layout consistency checks.
There has been precedent for avoiding such layout-altering attributes
from affecting lowering with externally-provided layouts (e.g., packed
structs).

This patch proposes to replace the `isZeroSize` checks in
`CGRecordLayoutBuilder` (which roughly means "empty field with
no_unique_address") with checks for
`CodeGen::isEmptyField`/`CodeGen::isEmptyRecord`.

**Details**
The main strategy here was to change the `isZeroSize` check in
`CGRecordLowering::accumulateFields` and
`CGRecordLowering::accumulateBases` to use the `isEmptyXXX` APIs
instead, preventing empty fields from being added to the `Members` and
`Bases` structures. The rest of the changes fall out from here, to
prevent lookups into these structures (for field numbers or base
indices) from failing.

Added `isEmptyRecordForLayout` and `isEmptyFieldForLayout` (open to
better naming suggestions). The main difference to the existing
`isEmptyRecord`/`isEmptyField` APIs, is that the `isEmptyXXXForLayout`
counterparts don't have special treatment for `unnamed bitfields`/arrays
and also treat fields of empty types as if they had
`no_unique_address` (i.e., just like the `AsIfNoUniqueAddr` in
`isEmptyField` does).

[Clang] Set writable and dead_on_unwind attributes on sret arguments (#77116)
Set the writable and dead_on_unwind attributes for sret arguments. These
indicate that the argument points to writable memory (and it's legal to
introduce spurious writes to it on entry to the function) and that the
argument memory will not be used if the call unwinds.

This enables additional MemCpyOpt/DSE/LICM optimizations.

c0a73918bf [ItaniumCXXABI] Add -fassume-nothrow-exception-dtor to assume that all exception objects' destructors are non-throwing
Link: https://lists.llvm.org/pipermail/cfe-dev/2021-August/068740.html ("[Exception Handling] Could we mark __cxa_end_catch as nounwind conditionally?"
Link: https://github.com/llvm/llvm-project/issues/57375

A catch handler calls `__cxa_begin_catch` and `__cxa_end_catch`. For a catch-all
clause or a catch clause matching a record type, we:

* assume that the exception object may have a throwing destructor
* emit `invoke void @__cxa_end_catch` (as the call is not marked as the `nounwind` attribute).
* emit a landing pad to destroy local variables and call `_Unwind_Resume`

```
struct A { ~A(); };
struct B { int x; };
void opaque();
void foo() {
 A a;
 try { opaque(); } catch (...) { } // the exception object has an unknown type and may throw
 try { opaque(); } catch (B b) { } // B::~B is nothrow, but we do not utilize this
}
```

Per C++ [dcl.fct.def.coroutine], a coroutine's function body implies a `catch (...)`.
Our code generation pessimizes even simple code, like:
```
UserFacing foo() {
 A a;
 opaque();
 co_return;
 // For `invoke void @__cxa_end_catch()`, the landing pad destroys the
 // promise_type and deletes the coro frame.
}
```

Throwing destructors are typically discouraged. In many environments, the
destructors of exception objects are guaranteed to never throw, making our
conservative code generation approach seem wasteful.

Furthermore, throwing destructors tend not to work well in practice:

* GCC does not emit call site records for the region containing `__cxa_end_catch`. This has been a long time, since 2000.
* If a catch-all clause catches an exception object that throws, both GCC and Clang using libstdc++ leak the allocated exception object.

To avoid code generation pessimization, add an opt-in driver option
-fassume-nothrow-exception-dtor to assume that `__cxa_end_catch` calls have the
`nounwind` attribute. This implies that thrown exception objects' destructors
will never throw.

To detect misuses, diagnose throw expressions with a potentially-throwing
destructor. Technically, it is possible that a potentially-throwing destructor
never throws when called transitively by `__cxa_end_catch`, but these cases seem
rare enough to justify a relaxed mode.

0f1c1be196 [clang] Remove rdar links; NFC
We have a new policy in place making links to private resources
something we try to avoid in source and test files. Normally, we'd
organically switch to the new policy rather than make a sweeping change
across a project. However, Clang is in a somewhat special circumstance
currently: recently, I've had several new contributors run into rdar
links around test code which their patch was changing the behavior of.
This turns out to be a surprisingly bad experience, especially for
newer folks, for a handful of reasons: not understanding what the link
is and feeling intimidated by it, wondering whether their changes are
actually breaking something important to a downstream in some way,
having to hunt down strangers not involved with the patch to impose on
them for help, accidental pressure from asking for potentially private
IP to be made public, etc. Because folks run into these links entirely
by chance (through fixing bugs or working on new features), there's not
really a set of problematic links to focus on -- all of the links have
basically the same potential for causing these problems. As a result,
this is an omnibus patch to remove all such links.

This was not a mechanical change; it was done by manually searching for
rdar, radar, radr, and other variants to find all the various
problematic links. From there, I tried to retain or reword the
surrounding comments so that we would lose as little context as
possible. However, because most links were just a plain link with no
supporting context, the majority of the changes are simple removals.

532dc62b90 [OpaquePtrs][Clang] Add -no-opaque-pointers to tests (NFC)

intended to be part of the migration approach described in

The patch has been produced by replacing %clang_cc1 with
%clang_cc1 -no-opaque-pointers for tests that fail with opaque
pointers enabled. Worth noting that this doesn't cover all tests,
there's a remaining ~40 tests not using %clang_cc1 that will need
a followup change.

fd739804e0 [test] Add to make ELF tests immune to dso_local/dso_preemptable/(none) differences
For a default visibility external linkage definition, dso_local is set for ELF
-fno-pic/-fpie and COFF and Mach-O. Since default clang -cc1 for ELF is similar
to -fpic ("PIC Level" is not set), this nuance causes unneeded binary format differences.

To make emitted IR similar, ELF -cc1 -fpic will default to -fno-semantic-interposition,
which sets dso_local for default visibility external linkage definitions.

To make this flip smooth and enable future (dso_local as definition default),
this patch replaces (function) `define ` with `define `,
(variable/constant/alias) `= ` with `= `, or inserts appropriate ` `.

[clang] Annotating C++'s operator new with more attributes
Summary:
Right now we annotate C++'s `operator new` with `noalias` attribute,
which very much is healthy for optimizations.

However as per [[ http://eel.is/c++draft/basic.stc.dynamic.allocation | `[basic.stc.dynamic.allocation]` ]],
there are more promises on global `operator new`, namely:
* non-`std::nothrow_t` `operator new` *never* returns `nullptr`
* If `std::align_val_t align` parameter is taken, the pointer will also be `align`-aligned
* ~~global `operator new`-returned pointer is `__STDCPP_DEFAULT_NEW_ALIGNMENT__`-aligned ~~ It's more caveated than that.

Supplying this information may not cause immediate landslide effects
on any specific benchmarks, but it for sure will be healthy for optimizer
in the sense that the IR will better reflect the guarantees provided in the source code.

The caveat is `-fno-assume-sane-operator-new`, which currently prevents emitting `noalias`
attribute, and is automatically passed by Sanitizers ( PR16386 ) - should it also cover these attributes?
The problem is that the flag is back-end-specific, as seen in `test/Modules/explicit-build-flags.cpp`.
But while it is okay to add `noalias` metadata in backend, we really should be adding at least
the alignment metadata to the AST, since that allows us to perform sema checks on it.
