83cec143c7 [clang] Change CodeGenOptions::RelaxELFRelocations/assembler defaults to match MC default
MC default was flipped in 2016.
CMake ENABLE_X86_RELAX_RELOCATIONS defaults to on in 2020 (c41a18cf61790fc898dcda1055c3efbf442c14c0).
It makes sense for the CodeGenOptions::RelaxELFRelocations to match, so
that most -cc1/-cc1as command lines won't have this option.

This also fixes a minor issue: -fno-plt -S will now use GOT for
__tls_get_addr calls, matching -fno-plt -c.

f3c9342a3d Fix build of nvptx-arch with CLANG_LINK_CLANG_DYLIB
The function clang_target_link_libraries must only be used with real
Clang libraries; with CLANG_LINK_CLANG_DYLIB, it will instead link in
clang-cpp. We must use the standard CMake target_link_libraries for
the CUDA library.

This a recommit of e953ae5bbc313fd0cc980ce021d487e5b5199ea4 and the subsequent fixes caa713559bd38f337d7d35de35686775e8fb5175 and 06b90e2e9c991e211fecc97948e533320a825470.

The above patchset caused some version of GCC to take eons to compile clang/lib/Basic/Targets/AArch64.cpp, as spotted in aa171833ab0017d9732e82b8682c9848ab25ff9e.
The fix is to make BuiltinInfo tables a compilation unit static variable, instead of a private static variable.

d5a5ee856e [Clang] Add nvptx-arch tool to query installed NVIDIA GPUs
We already have a tool called `amdgpu-arch` which returns the GPUs on
the system. This is used to determine the default architecture when
doing offloading. This patch introduces a similar tool `nvptx-arch`.
Right now we use the detected GPU at compile time. This is unhelpful
when building on a login node and moving execution to a compute node for
example. This will allow us to better choose a default architecture when
targeting NVPTX. Also we can probably use this with CMake's `native`
setting for CUDA now.

CUDA since 11.6 provides `__nvcc_device_query` which has a similar
function but it is probably better to define this locally if we want to
depend on it in clang.

temporary plain old array.

f09cf34d00 [Support] Move TargetParsers to new component
This is a fairly large changeset, but it can be broken into a few
pieces:
- `llvm/Support/*TargetParser*` are all moved from the LLVM Support
  component into a new LLVM Component called "TargetParser". This
  potentially enables using tablegen to maintain this information, as
  is shown in https://reviews.llvm.org/D137517. This cannot currently
  be done, as llvm-tblgen relies on LLVM's Support component.
- This also moves two files from Support which use and depend on
  information in the TargetParser:
  - `llvm/Support/Host.{h,cpp}` which contains functions for inspecting
    the current Host machine for info about it, primarily to support
    getting the host triple, but also for `-mcpu=native` support in e.g.
    Clang. This is fairly tightly intertwined with the information in
    `X86TargetParser.h`, so keeping them in the same component makes
    sense.
  - `llvm/ADT/Triple.h` and `llvm/Support/Triple.cpp`, which contains
    the target triple parser and representation. This is very intertwined
    with the Arm target parser, because the arm architecture version
    appears in canonical triples on arm platforms.
- I moved the relevant unittests to their own directory.

And so, we end up with a single component that has all the information
about the following, which to me seems like a unified component:
- Triples that LLVM Knows about
- Architecture names and CPUs that LLVM knows about
- CPU detection logic for LLVM

Given this, I have also moved `RISCVISAInfo.h` into this component, as
it seems to me to be part of that same set of functionality.

If you get link errors in your components after this patch, you likely
need to add TargetParser into LLVM_LINK_COMPONENTS in CMake.

854c10f8d1 [Clang] Prepare for llvm::Optional becoming std::optional.
The needed tweaks are mostly trivial, the one nasty bit is Clang's usage
of OptionalStorage. To keep this working old Optional stays around as
clang::CustomizableOptional, with the default Storage removed.
Optional<File/DirectoryEntryRef> is replaced with a typedef.

I tested this with GCC 7.5, the oldest supported GCC I had around.

The issue here is the discrepancy between how a [nested requirement is evaluated](https://github.com/llvm/llvm-project/blob/main/clang/lib/Sema/SemaTemplateInstantiate.cpp#L2331) Vs how a [non-nested requirement is evaluated](https://github.com/llvm/llvm-project/blob/main/clang/lib/Sema/SemaConcept.cpp#L167-L200).

This patch makes constraint checking consistent for nested requirement
and trailing requires expressions by reusing the same evaluator.

205c0589f9 Revert "[clang] Convert OptionalFileEntryRefDegradesToFileEntryPtr to std::optional"
This reverts commit 8f0df9f3bbc6d7f3d5cbfd955c5ee4404c53a75d.

The Optional*RefDegradesTo*EntryPtr types want to keep the same size as
the underlying type, which std::optional doesn't guarantee. For use with
llvm::Optional, they define their own storage class, and there is no way
to do that in std::optional.

On top of that, that commit broke builds with older GCCs, where
std::optional was not trivially copyable (static_assert in the clang
sources was failing).

1e6adbadc7 [clang] llvm::Optional::value => operator*/operator->
std::optional::value() has undesired exception checking semantics and is
unavailable in older Xcode (see _LIBCPP_AVAILABILITY_BAD_OPTIONAL_ACCESS). The
call sites block std::optional migration.

This makes `ninja check-clang` work in the absence of llvm::Optional::value.

21c4dc7997 std::optional::value => operator*/operator->
value() has undesired exception checking semantics and calls
__throw_bad_optional_access in libc++. Moreover, the API is unavailable without
_LIBCPP_NO_EXCEPTIONS on older Mach-O platforms (see
_LIBCPP_AVAILABILITY_BAD_OPTIONAL_ACCESS).

This fixes clang.

40c52159d3 [clang][C++20] P0960R3 and P1975R0: Allow initializing aggregates from a parenthesized list of values
This patch implements P0960R3, which allows initialization of aggregates
via parentheses.

As an example:

```
struct S { int i, j; };
S s1(1, 1);

int arr1[2](1, 2);
```

This patch also implements P1975R0, which fixes the wording of P0960R3
for single-argument parenthesized lists so that statements like the
following are allowed:

```
S s2(1);
S s3 = static_cast<S>(1);
S s4 = (S)1;

int (&&arr2)[] = static_cast<int[]>(1);
int (&&arr3)[2] = static_cast<int[2]>(1);
```

7a85192166 [clang][ExtractAPI] Add support for single symbol SGF and libclang support
This is mainly adding an entry point to `SymbolGraphSerializer` at
`serializeSingleSymbolSGF` and exposing the necessary data to make this
possible.  Additionaly there are some changes to how symbol kinds and
path components are serialized to make the usage more ergonomic in
`serializeSingleSymbolSGF`.

On the libclang side this introduces APIs to:
- create an APISet from a TU
- dispose of an APISet
- query an APISet for a single symbol SGF for a given USR.
- generate a single symbol SGF for a given CXCursor, this only traverses
the necessary AST nodes to construct the result as oppposed as going
through the entire AST.

Store OptTable::Info::Name as a StringRef
This is a recommit of 8ae18303f97d5dcfaecc90b4d87effb2011ed82e,
with a few cleanups.

This avoids implicit conversion to StringRef at several points, which in
turns avoid redundant calls to strlen.

As a side effect, this greatly simplifies the implementation of
StrCmpOptionNameIgnoreCase.

It also eventually gives a consistent, humble speedup in compilation
time (timing updated since original commit).

3738ce05a7 Add support for a backdoor driver option that enables emitting header
usage information in JSON to a file

Each line in the file is a JSON object that has the name of the main
source file followed by the list of system header files included
directly or indirectly from that file.

For example:

{"source":"/tmp/foo.c",
 "includes":["/usr/include/stdio.h", "/usr/include/stdlib.h"]}

To reduce the amount of data written to the file, only the system
headers that are directly included from a non-system header file are
recorded.

In order to emit the header information in JSON, it is necessary to set
the following environment variables:

CC_PRINT_HEADERS_FORMAT=json CC_PRINT_HEADERS_FILTERING=only-direct-system

The following combination is equivalent to setting CC_PRINT_HEADERS=1:

CC_PRINT_HEADERS_FORMAT=textual CC_PRINT_HEADERS_FILTERING=none

5891420e68 [clang] Use std::nullopt instead of None (NFC)
This patch mechanically replaces None with std::nullopt where the
compiler would warn if None were deprecated.  The intent is to reduce
the amount of manual work required in migrating from Optional to
std::optional.

dc4889357a [clang-repl] Support statements on global scope in incremental mode.
This patch teaches clang to parse statements on the global scope to allow:
```

clang-repl> int i = 12;

clang-repl> printf("%d\n", i);
13
clang-repl> %quit
```

Generally, disambiguating between statements and declarations is a non-trivial
task for a C++ parser. The challenge is to allow both standard C++ to be
translated as if this patch does not exist and in the cases where the user typed
a statement to be executed as if it were in a function body.

Clang's Parser does pretty well in disambiguating between declarations and
expressions. We have added DisambiguatingWithExpression flag which allows us to
preserve the existing and optimized behavior where needed and implement the
extra rules for disambiguating. Only few cases require additional attention:
  * Constructors/destructors -- Parser::isConstructorDeclarator was used in to
    disambiguate between ctor-looking declarations and statements on the global
    scope(eg. `Ns::f()`).
  * The template keyword -- the template keyword can appear in both declarations
    and statements. This patch considers the template keyword to be a declaration
    starter which breaks a few cases in incremental mode which will be tackled
    later.
  * The inline (and similar) keyword -- looking at the first token in many cases
    allows us to classify what is a declaration.
  * Other language keywords and specifiers -- ObjC/ObjC++/OpenCL/OpenMP rely on
    pragmas or special tokens which will be handled in subsequent patches.

The patch conceptually models a "top-level" statement into a TopLevelStmtDecl.
The TopLevelStmtDecl is lowered into a void function with no arguments.
We attach this function to the global initializer list to execute the statement
blocks in the correct order.

b4b54697b7 [clang][Driver] Don't overwrite DiagnosticsEngine::IgnoreAllWarnings, rely on DiagnosticOptions::IgnoreWarnings value.
Driver overwrites `DiagnosticsEngine::IgnoreAllWarnings` based on `-w` flag
without taking into account `DiagnosticOptions::IgnoreWarnings` that is
propagated to `DiagnosticsEngine` in `ProcessWarningOptions` (called from
`CompilerInstance::createDiagnostics`). It makes it hard to manipulate
`DiagnosticOptions` directly and pushes towards string-based API.

Most of in-tree tools use `DiagnosticOptions` already, so migrate
`clang_parseTranslationUnit_Impl` to use it too. Don't parse `-w`
directly but rely on

bfd69ad596 [LinkerWrapper] Ignore OFK_None kinds for building registration code
Summary:
The linker wrapper uses this metadata to determine which registration
code to emit, e.g. CUDA, HIP or OpenMP. If we encounter an OFK_None we
should just ignore it.

531ed6d5aa [LTO][COFF] Use bitcode file names in lto native object file names.
Currently the lto native object files have names like main.exe.lto.1.obj. In
PDB, those names are used as names for each compiland. Microsoft’s tool
SizeBench uses those names to present to users the size of each object files.
So, names like main.exe.lto.1.obj is not user friendly.

This patch makes the lto native object file names more readable by using
the bitcode file names as part of the file names. For example, if the input
bitcode file has path like "path/to/foo.obj", its corresponding lto native
object file path would be "path/to/main.exe.lto.foo.obj". Since the lto native
object file name only bothers PDB, this patch only changes the lld-linker's
behavior.

8627811408 [clang-format] Support new file formatting with vim
The vim Formatonsave integration is not working if we create a new file directly using vim.
eg: vi -V9t.log t.cpp

It will not able to format the buffer.
