612f3ac26f [Modules] Remove -fmodules-ts
As the diagnostic message shows, we should remove -fmodules-ts flag in
clang/llvm17. Since clang/llvm16 is already branched. We can remove the
depreacared flag now.

df5beebc98 [Driver] Add --vfsoverlay flag
This flag implies `-ivfsoverlay`, and additionally passes the same
argument to the linker if it supports it. At present the only linker
which does is lld-link, so this functionality has only been added to
the MSVC toolchain. Additionally this option has been made a
CoreOption so that clang-cl can use it without `-Xclang`

7f85c560b4 [Clang][AIX][p]Enable -p Functionality
This patch enables `-p` functionality into Clang on AIX and Linux
To create parity with GCC.

The purpose of the `-p` flag is similar to that of `-pg`, but the
results are analyzed with the `prof` tool as opposed to the `gprof` tool.
More details can be found in this RFC post:
https://discourse.llvm.org/t/rfc-add-p-driver-support-to-clang/66013?u=francii

On AIX, compiling with `-p` links against `mcrt0.o`
and produces a mon.out file analyzed with the `prof` tool,
while `-pg` links against `gcrt0.o` and produces a `gmon.out`file
analyzed with the `gprof` tool. The differences are therefore
only a concern when linking, so calling `-p` will push `-pg` to cc1.

An AIX test for `-p` already exists, and I recently
another test was added here:
dc9846ce98
As such, there is no AIX test case attached to this patch.

089bfedfb8 [RISCV][Driver] Add -mrvv-vector-bits= option similar to -msve-vector-bits=
This option will control the vscale min/max.

I have left out the '+' support that SVE supports for now. We already
have minimum controlled by the Zvl*b extension so this didn't seem that
useful.

I've added "scalable" from SVE to allow the option to be cancelled later on
command line. Though this name might make less sense for RISC-V since
the word "scalable" does not appear in the V spec. Maybe something like
"unknown" or "runtime" or "variable" would be better?

In addition to "scalable", 64, 128, 256, 512, ..., 65536, I have added an extra
value "zvl" that will use the value from Zvl*b as the min and max.
This avoids repeating the numeric value in two places or to get
min/max from -mcpu.

The primary effect of this option today is simplification of stack
address calculations for RVV vectors and avoiding the use of
vrgatherei16 in some cases if we know there are less than 256 elements.

Future patches may add something similar to the arm_sve_vector_bits
attribute to allow RVV vectors to be used in structs and global
variables.

56b038f887 [BPF][clang] Ignore stack protector options for BPF target
Stack protector builtin functions are not implemented for BPF target,

This commit adds logic to ignore these options for BPF target.

the suit.

Here is an example of the diagnostic message:

4ece50737d [Assignment Tracking][NFC] Replace LLVM command line option with a module flag
Remove LLVM flag -experimental-assignment-tracking. Assignment tracking is
still enabled from Clang with the command line -Xclang
-fexperimental-assignment-tracking which tells Clang to ask LLVM to run the
pass declare-to-assign. That pass converts conventional debug intrinsics to
assignment tracking metadata. With this patch it now also sets a module flag
debug-info-assignment-tracking with the value `i1 true` (using the flag conflict
rule `Max` since enabling assignment tracking on IR that contains only
conventional debug intrinsics should cause no issues).

Update the docs and tests too.

This also fixes a minor issue: -fno-plt -S will now use GOT for

69243cdb92 Remove incorrectly implemented -mibt-seal
The option from D116070 does not work as intended and will not be needed when
hidden visibility is used. A function needs ENDBR if it may be reached
indirectly. If we make ThinLTO combine the address-taken property (close to
`!GV.use_empty() && !GV.hasAtLeastLocalUnnamedAddr()`), then the condition can
be expressed with:

`AddressTaken || (!F.hasLocalLinkage() && (VisibleToRegularObj || !F.hasHiddenVisibility()))`

The current `F.hasAddressTaken()` condition does not take into acount of
address-significance in another bitcode file or ELF relocatable file.

For the Linux kernel, it uses relocatable linking. lld/ELF uses a
conservative approach by setting all `VisibleToRegularObj` to true.
Using the non-relocatable semantics may under-estimate
`VisibleToRegularObj`. As @pcc mentioned on
https://github.com/ClangBuiltLinux/linux/issues/1737#issuecomment-1343414686
, we probably need a symbol list to supply additional
`VisibleToRegularObj` symbols (not part of the relocatable LTO link).

3738ce05a7 Add support for a backdoor driver option that enables emitting header
usage information in JSON to a file

Each line in the file is a JSON object that has the name of the main
source file followed by the list of system header files included
directly or indirectly from that file.

For example:

{"source":"/tmp/foo.c",
 "includes":["/usr/include/stdio.h", "/usr/include/stdlib.h"]}

To reduce the amount of data written to the file, only the system
headers that are directly included from a non-system header file are
recorded.

In order to emit the header information in JSON, it is necessary to set
the following environment variables:

CC_PRINT_HEADERS_FORMAT=json CC_PRINT_HEADERS_FILTERING=only-direct-system

The following combination is equivalent to setting CC_PRINT_HEADERS=1:

CC_PRINT_HEADERS_FORMAT=textual CC_PRINT_HEADERS_FILTERING=none

3951a73490 [Flang][Driver] Handle target CPU and features
This patch:

- Adds target-feature and target-cpu to FC1Options.
- Moves getTargetFeatures() from Clang.cpp to CommonArgs.cpp.
- Processes target cpu and features in the flang driver. Right now
  features are only added for AArch64/x86 because I only did basic
  testing on them but it should generally work for others as well.
  Option handling is similar to clang.
- Adds appropriate structures in TargetOptions and passes them to
  the target machine.

What's missing:

- Adding the CPU info and the features as attributes in the LLVM IR
  module.
- Processing target specific flags, e.g. SVE vector bits for AArch64,
  ABI etc.
