8fe609cb3a [libc++][spaceship] Fixed __debug_three_way_comp's operator() for vector<bool>'s operator<=>`
An issue with `operator()` was found during the implementation of https://reviews.llvm.org/D132268.

This patch aims to resolve the issues by updating the operator to use perfect forwarding.

The original motivation for `three_way_comp_ref_type` is given in: https://reviews.llvm.org/D131395

`three_way_comp_ref_type`'s implementation is inspired by `comp_ref_type`, which has two overloads:

    bool operator()(const _Tp& __x,  const _Up& __y);

    template <class _Tp, class _Up>
    bool operator()(_Tp& __x,  _Up& __y);
```

`__debug_three_way_comp` is missing the first overload and also declares the typealias`_three_way_comp_ref_type ` incorrectly.

66a562d22e [libc++] Roll up fstream support into filesystem support
LIBCXX_ENABLE_FILESYSTEM should represent whether the platform has
support for a filesystem, not just whether we support <filesystem>.
This patch slightly generalizes the setting to also encompass whether
we provide <fstream>, since that only makes sense when a filesystem is
supported.

fcbbd9649a [libcxx] Fix using std::wcout/wcin on Windows with streams configured in wide mode
On Windows, the underlying file descriptors for stdout/stdin/stderr
can be reconfigured to wide mode. In the default (narrow) mode, the
charset usually isn't utf8 (as libcxx assumes), but normally a locale
specific codepage (where each codepage only can represent a small
subset of unicode characters).

By configuring the stdout file descriptor to wide mode, the user can
output wchar_t based strings without convesion to the narrow charset.
Within libcxx, don't try to use codecvt to convert this to a narrow
character encoding, but output these strings as such with fputwc.

In wide mode, such strings could be output directly with fwrite too,
but if the file descriptor hasn't been configured in wide mode, that
breaks the output (which currently works reasonably). By always
outputting one character at a time with fputwc, it works regardless
of mode of the stdout file descriptor.

For the narrow output stream, std::cout, outputting (via fwrite)
does fail when the file descriptor is set to wide mode. This matches
how it behaves with both MS STL and GNU libstdc++ too, so this is
probably acceptable.

This fixes https://github.com/llvm/llvm-project/issues/46646, and
the downstream bugs https://github.com/mstorsjo/llvm-mingw/issues/145
and https://github.com/mstorsjo/llvm-mingw/issues/222.

684facbb43 [libcxx] [test] Fix the new alloc tests for Windows
Use ASSERT_WITH_OPERATOR_NEW_FALLBACKS where relevant to waive
the known cases where operator new isn't overridden as expected,
in MinGW DLL configurations.

Clarify the reason for why the fallback in
new.delete.array/new.size_align_nothrow.replace.indirect doesn't
work as expected, which can be considered a vcruntime bug.

605b9c76e0 [2a/3][ASan][libcxx] std::deque annotations
This revision is a part of a series of patches extending AddressSanitizer C++ container overflow detection capabilities by adding annotations, similar to those existing in std::vector, to std::string and `std::deque` collections. These changes allow ASan to detect cases when the instrumented program accesses memory which is internally allocated by the collection but is still not in-use (accesses before or after the stored elements for `std::deque`, or between the size and capacity bounds for `std::string`).

The motivation for the research and those changes was a bug, found by Trail of Bits, in a real code where an out-of-bounds read could happen as two strings were compared via a std::equals function that took `iter1_begin`, `iter1_end`, `iter2_begin` iterators (with a custom comparison function). When object `iter1` was longer than `iter2`, read out-of-bounds on `iter2` could happen. Container sanitization would detect it.

This revision introduces annotations for `std::deque`. Each chunk of the container can now be annotated using the `__sanitizer_annotate_double_ended_contiguous_container` function, which was added in the rG1c5ad6d2c01294a0decde43a88e9c27d7437d157. Any attempt to access poisoned memory will trigger an ASan error. Although false negatives are rare, they are possible due to limitations in the ASan API, where a few (usually up to 7) bytes before the container may remain unpoisoned. There are no false positives in the same way as with `std::vector` annotations.

This patch only supports objects (deques) that use the standard allocator. However, it can be easily extended to support all allocators, as suggested in the D146815 revision.

Furthermore, the patch includes the addition of the `is_double_ended_contiguous_container_asan_correct` function to libcxx/test/support/asan_testing.h. This function can be used to verify whether a `std::deque` object has been correctly annotated.

Finally, the patch extends the unit tests to verify ASan annotations (added LIBCPP_ASSERTs).
If a program is compiled without ASan, all helper functions will be no-ops. In binaries with ASan, there is a negligible performance impact since the code from the change is only executed when the deque container changes in size and it’s proportional to the change. It is important to note that regardless of whether or not these changes are in use, every access to the container's memory is instrumented.

Clang has been updated to support C++26, this adds the same support for
libc++. At the moment C++23 and C++26 are identical. During the next
plenary in June the first C++26 papers will be voted on.

Note like Clang this patch uses C++26 is the internal part and C++2c in
the user visible part.

54e3fc3563 [libc++] Complete refactor of tests for operator new
I stumbled upon the `operator new` and `operator new[]` tests while
investigating an issue with `operator new` when exceptions are disabled,
and I realized that our test coverage was incomplete. This patch refactors
all the `operator new` and `operator new[]` tests to add consistency and
better coverage for scenarios in which it should be possible to override
an operator indirectly by defining another one (for example new(size_t, nothrow)
should use new(size_t) if it has been provided).

This is intended to be a NFC setting up the terrain for some refactoring
work and bug fix in operator new.

71400505ca [libc++] Updates C++2b to C++23.
During the ISO C++ Committee meeting plenary session the C++23 Standard
has been voted as technical complete.

This updates the reference to c++2b to c++23 and updates the __cplusplus
macro.

Note since we use clang-tidy 16 a small work-around is needed. Clang
knows -std=c++23 but clang-tidy not so for now force the lit compiler
flag to use -std=c++2b instead of -std=c++23.

75eb3bd1a4 [libc++] Remove tests from ranges.pass.cpp which violate semantic requirements
This also removes some tests which we have grouped together into robust_from_*.pass.cpp tests.

Specifically, checking that
- `ranges::dangling` is returned is done in `libcxx/test/std/algorithms/ranges_robust_against_dangling.pass.cpp`
- `std::invoke` is used is done in `libcxx/test/std/algorithms/ranges_robust_against_omitting_invoke.pass.cpp`.
- implicit conversion to bool works is done in `libcxx/test/std/algorithms/ranges_robust_against_nonbool_predicates.pass.cpp`

Checking the comparison order is invalid because the `operator==` isn't symmetric.
Checking what the exact type of `operator==` is, is invalid because comparing the same object has to yield the same results if the objects are not modified.

5db033e204 [libc++][format] Improves fill character.
The main change is to allow a UCS scalar value as fill character.

53aed4759b [libcxx] Fix crash in std::stringstream with payload >= INT_MAX
stringstream does works for payload > INT_MAX, however
stringstream::gcount() can break the internal field (__nout_) and this
breaks the stringstream itself, and so the program will crash.

Fix this, by using __pbump(streamsize) over pbump(int)

Note, libstdc++ does not have this bug.

fcaccf817d [libcxx] Add mdspan/extents
This patch adds std::extents. extents is one of the core classes used by std::mdspan. It describes a multi-dimensional index space with a mix of compile time and runtime sizes. Furthermore, it is templated on the index type used to describe the multi-dimensional index space.

The class is designed to be highly optimizable in performance critical code sections, and is fully useable in constant expressions contexts.

Testing of this class tends to be somewhat combinatorical, due to the large number of possible corner cases involved in situations where we have both runtime and compile time extents. To add to this, the class is designed to be interoperable (in particular constructible) from arguments which only need to be convertible to the index_type, but are otherwise arbitrary user types.
