48b126e30b [mlir][llvm] Ensure immediate usage in intrinsics
This commit changes intrinsics that have immarg parameter attributes to
model these parameters as attributes, instead of operands. Using
operands only works if the operation is an `llvm.mlir.constant`,
otherwise the exported LLVMIR is invalid.

641b12e94b [mlir][SliceAnalysis] Add an options object to forward and backward slice.
Add an options object to allow control of the slice computation (for
both forward and backward slice). This makes the ABI stable, and also
allows avoiding an assert that makes the slice analysis unusable for
operations with multiple blocks.

We have attempted an alternative lowering pass that uses `tensor.scatter` as an intermediate step. However, we opted to aim straight at the `scf` dialect for the following reasons:

- The `tensor.scatter` op doesn't seem to be used anywhere. There is no available lowering pass for this op (although we have one that we'll upstream soon).
- The `tosa.scatter` and `tensor.scatter` op have different indexing semantics. The `indices` argument of `tosa.scatter` must be non-trivially modified and restructured (e.g. with a `linalg.generic` op) to adapt to the needs of `tensor.scatter`. While this overhead may be simplified and fused after a subsequent `tensor.scatter` lowering, it adds complex logic and an obscure intermediate state. Unless there is a good reason to go through the `tensor` dialect that we're missing, this additional complexity may not be justified.

68f58812e3 [mlir] Move casting calls from methods to function calls
The MLIR classes Type/Attribute/Operation/Op/Value support
cast/dyn_cast/isa/dyn_cast_or_null functionality through llvm's doCast
functionality in addition to defining methods with the same name.
This change begins the migration of uses of the method to the
corresponding function call as has been decided as more consistent.

Note that there still exist classes that only define methods directly,
such as AffineExpr, and this does not include work currently to support
a functional cast/isa call.

Implementation:
This patch updates all remaining uses of the deprecated functionality in
mlir/. This was done with clang-tidy as described below and further
modifications to GPUBase.td and OpenMPOpsInterfaces.td.

Steps are described per line, as comments are removed by git:
0. Retrieve the change from the following to build clang-tidy with an
   additional check:
   main...tpopp:llvm-project:tidy-cast-check
1. Build clang-tidy
2. Run clang-tidy over your entire codebase while disabling all checks
   and enabling the one relevant one. Run on all header files also.
3. Delete .inc files that were also modified, so the next build rebuilds
   them to a pure state.

a8e1f80f8b [mlir][sparse][gpu] derive type of cuSparse op
This no longer assumes just F64 output.

Note, however, that it will be cleaner to carry the data type in the corresponding operation (rather than tracking operands). That will also allow for mixed type cases, where operands and result type are different

This will be done in a follow revision where the result type is carried by the SpMV/SpMM op itself (and friends).

26a7f42306 [mlir][tosa] Add accumulator type attribute to TOSA dialect
Tosa supports fp16 and fp32 accumulator type for fp16 input, but
no way to tell for computational operators whether accumulator
should be fp16 or fp32 from input type. Add this new attribute
to specify the type.

Set to fp32 by default for now. When the time fp16 is supported,
the accumulator type can be selected based on trade-off between
performance and accuracy.

b700a90cc0 [mlir][gpu][sparse] add gpu ops for sparse matrix computations
This revision extends the GPU dialect with ops that can be lowered to
host-oriented sparse matrix library calls (in this case cuSparse focused
although the ops could be generalized to support more GPUs in principle).
This will allow the "sparse compiler pipeline" to accelerate sparse operations
(see follow up revisions with examples of this).

58839f2e29 [spirv][math] Fix sign propagation for math.powf conversion
For `x^y`, the result's sign should consider whether `y` is
an integer and whether it's odd or even.

This still does not cover all corner cases regarding `x^y`
but it's an improvement over the current implementation.

17faae95d7 [ADT] Introduce map_to_vector helper
The following pattern is common in the llvm codebase, as well as in downstream projects:
```
llvm::to_vector(llvm::map_range(container, lambda))
```
This patch introduces a shortcut for this called `map_to_vector`.

This template depends on both `llvm/ADT/SmallVector.h` and `llvm/ADT/STLExtras.h`, and since these are both relatively large and do not depend on each other, the `map_to_vector` helper is placed in a new header under `llvm/ADT/SmallVectorExtras.h`. Only a handful of use cases have been updated to use the new helper.

94058c41d4 [mlir][GPU] Allow specifying alignment of memory attributions
Add support for argument attributes on workgroup and private
attributions for GPU functions. These arguments are outside the range
of getNumArguments() and get printed separately, so the default
mechanism for function argument attributes can't be used on them.

Having done this, check for the `llvm.align` attribute on workgroup or
private attributions in a `gpu.func` and pass it through to the
relevant allocation op (creating a global or alloca). This allows
people creating kernels that use multiple workgroup buffers to set an
alignment.

(This could, in the future, be a GPU dialect `alignment` attribute,
but I've taken the simpler route of using the LLVM version instead for
simplicity and because I don't know how this might impact backends
like Vulkan)

cc4703745f [mlir][AMDGPU] Add emulation pass for atomics on AMDGPU targets
Not all AMDGPU targets support all atomic operations. For example,
there are not atomic floating-point adds on the gfx10 series. Add a
pass to emulate these operations using a compare-and-swap loop, by
analogy to the generic atomicrmw rewrite in MemrefToLLVM.

This pass is named generally, as in the future we may have a
memref-to-amdgpu that translates constructs like atomicrmw fmax (which
doesn't generally exist in LLVM) to the relevant intrinsics, which may
themselves require emulation.

Since the AMDGPU dialect now has a pass that operates on it, the
dialect's directory structure is reorganized to match other similarly
complex dialects.

The pass should be run before amdgpu-to-rocdl if desired.

This commit also adds f64 support to atomic_fmax.

e02d4142dc [MemRefToLLVM] Add a method in MemRefDescriptor to get the buffer addr
This patch pushes the computation of the start address of a memref in one
place (a method in MemRefDescriptor.)

This allows all the (indirect) users of this method to produce the start
address in the same way.

Thanks to this change, we expose more CSEs opportunities and thanks to
that, the backend is able to properly find the `llvm.assume` expression
related to the base address as demonstrated in the added test.

68e1aef68e [MemRefToLLVM] Fix the lowering of memref.assume_alignment
`memref.assume_alignment` annotates the alignment of the source buffer
not the base pointer.
Put diffrently, prior to this patch `memref.assume_alignment` would lower
to `llvm.assume %buffer.base.isAligned(X)` whereas what we want is
`llvm.assume (%buffer.base + %buffer.offset).isAligned(X)`.
In other words, we were missing to include the offset in the expression
checked by the `llvm.assume`.

6089d612a5 [mlir] Prevent implicit downcasting to interfaces
Currently conversions to interfaces may happen implicitly (e.g.
`Attribute -> TypedAttr`), failing a runtime assert if the interface
isn't actually implemented. This change marks the `Interface(ValueT)`
constructor as explicit so that a cast is required.

Where it was straightforward to I adjusted code to not require casts,
otherwise I just made them explicit.

0c7f3d6c39 [mlir] Allow to specify target type in convertType
Add a new helper function for the type converter that takes care of
casting to the target type.

This is to avoid bugs where an incorrect cast function is used after
type conversion, e.g., `dyn_cast` or `cast`. These are not guaranteed to
work when type conversion fails, or when type conversion succeeds but
the provided type converted returned a type that a conversion pattern
did not expect.

I saw this being an issue in some SPIR-V passes and in mlir-hlo.

Exercise the new function in a couple of passes. As a side-effect, this
also made the code more concise.
