[RISCV] Move TargetOverlapConstraintType from RISCVVPseudo to TSFlags. NFC (#75877)
It can be more efficiently accessed from TSFlags and won't require extra
storage.

NFC because it wasn't exported to the cpp PseudoTable and isn't used in
tree yet.

1df5ea29b4 [RISCV] Support R_RISCV_SET_ULEB128/R_RISCV_SUB_ULEB128 for .uleb128 directives
For a label difference like `.uleb128 A-B`, MC folds A-B even if A and B
are separated by a RISC-V linker-relaxable instruction. This incorrect
behavior is currently abused by DWARF v5 .debug_loclists/.debug_rnglists
(DW_LLE_offset_pair/DW_RLE_offset_pair entry kinds) implemented in
Clang/LLVM (see https://github.com/ClangBuiltLinux/linux/issues/1719 for
an instance).

defined R_RISCV_SET_ULEB128/R_RISCV_SUB_ULEB128. This patch generates such
a pair of relocations to represent A-B that should not be folded.
GNU assembler computes the directive size by ignoring shrinkable section
content, therefore after linking the value of A-B cannot use more bytes
than the reserved number (`final size of uleb128 value at offset ... exceeds available space`).
We make the same assumption.

We do not conservatively reserve 10 bytes (maximum size of an uleb128
for uint64_t) as that would pessimize DWARF v5
DW_LLE_offset_pair/DW_RLE_offset_pair, nullifying the benefits of
introducing R_RISCV_SET_ULEB128/R_RISCV_SUB_ULEB128 relocations.

The supported expressions are limited. For example,

* non-subtraction `.uleb128 A` is not allowed
* `.uleb128 A-B`: report an error unless A and B are both defined and in the same section

The new cl::opt `-riscv-uleb128-reloc` can be used to suppress the
relocations.

[RISCV] Keep same SEW/LMUL ratio if possible in forward transfer (#69788)
For instructions like vmv.s.x and friends where we don't care about LMUL
or the
SEW/LMUL ratio, we can change the LMUL in its state so that it has the
same
SEW/LMUL ratio as the previous state. This allows us to avoid more VL
toggles
later down the line (i.e. use vsetvli zero, zero, which requires that
the
SEW/LMUL ratio must be the same)

This is an alternative approach to the idea in #69259, but note that
they
don't catch exactly the same test cases.

[RISCV][MC] Implement evaluateBranch for auipc+jalr pairs (#65480)
This patch implements `MCInstrAnalysis` state in order to be able
analyze auipc+jalr pairs inside `evaluateBranch`.

This is implemented as follows:
- State: array of currently known GPR values;
- Whenever an auipc is detected in `updateState`, update the state value
of RD with the immediate;
- Whenever a jalr is detected in `evaluateBranch`, check if the state
holds a value for RS1 and use that to compute its target.

Note that this is similar to how binutils implements it and the output
of llvm-objdump should now mostly match the one of GNU objdump.

This patch also updates the relevant llvm-objdump patches and adds a new
one testing the output for interleaved auipc+jalr pairs.

[RISCV] Fix incorrect codegen for Zfa with negated forms of constants in the lookup table (#68026)
The logic in `RISCVLoadFPImm::getLoadFPImm` recognises that the only
supported negative value is -1.0, but due to a typo returns `false`
otherwise (entry 0, which is -1.0) rather than returning -1 (indicating
no match found).

[RISCV][MC] Recognise that fcvt.d.s with frm != 0b000 is valid (#67555)
This seems to be an issue common to both GCC and LLVM. There are various
RISC-V FCVT instructions where the frm field makes no difference to the
output as the result is always exact (e.g. fcvt.d.s, fcvt.s.h,
fcvt.d.h). As with GCC, we always generate a form of these fcvt
instructions where frm=0b000. However, the ISA manual _doesn't_ state
that frm values are invalid, and we should ensure we can accept them.
This patch does so by adding the frm field to fcvt.d.s and adding an
InstAlias so that if no frm is specified, it defaults to rne (0b000).

This patch just corrects fcvt.d.s in order to allow the approach to be
reviewed, before applying it to the other affected instructions.

I haven't added tests to llvm/test/MC/Disassembler/RISCV, because it
doesn't seem necessary to test there in addition to our usual round-trip
tests in llvm/test/MC/RISCV. But feedback is welcome.

Recently added tests ensure that the default `rne` rounding mode is
printed as desired.

[RISCV] Improve constant materialization by using a sequence that end… (#66943)

If the lower 13 bits are something like 0x17ff, we can first materialize
it as 0x1800 followed by an addi to subtract a small offset. This might
be cheaper to materialize since the constant ending in 0x1800 can use a
simm12 immediate for its final addi.

[RISCV] Handle .vx pseudos in hasAllNBitUsers (#67419)
Vector pseudos with scalar operands only use the lower SEW bits (or less
in the
case of shifts and clips). This patch accounts for this in
hasAllNBitUsers for
both SDNodes in RISCVISelDAGToDAG. We also need to handle this in
RISCVOptWInstrs otherwise we introduce slliw instructions that are less
compressible than their original slli counterpart.

There is an issue: https://github.com/llvm/llvm-project/issues/64612
This issue happens because in RISCVMCCodeEmitter::getImmOpValue it only handles MCExpr kind Target and SymbolRef.
When code with format like .+ comes in, it comes with MCExpr kind Binary, the fixupkind remains fixup_riscv_invalid and reports error.

This patch make MCExpr kind Binary handled with the same way as MCExpr kind SymbolRef,
so code with binary expression can get correct fixupkind and be used to generate more complex relocation.

5be7f2a943 [MC,AArch64] Suppress local symbol to STT_SECTION conversion for GOT relocations
Assemblers change certain relocations referencing a local symbol to
reference the section symbol instead. This conversion is disabled for
many conditions (`shouldRelocateWithSymbol`), e.g. TLS symbol, for most
targets (including AArch32, x86, PowerPC, and RISC-V) GOT-generating
relocations.

However, AArch64 encodes the GOT-generating intent in MCValue::RefKind
instead of MCSymbolRef::Kind (see commit
0999cbd0b9ed8aa893cce10d681dec6d54b200ad (2014)), therefore not affected
by the code `case MCSymbolRefExpr::VK_GOT:`. As GNU ld and ld.lld
create GOT entries based on the symbol, ignoring addend, the two ldr
instructions will share the same GOT entry, which is not expected:

This patch changes AArch64 to suppress local symbol to STT_SECTION
conversion for GOT relocations, matching most other targets. x and y
will use different GOT entries, which IMO is the most sensable behavior.

With this change, the ABI decision on https://github.com/ARM-software/abi-aa/issues/217
will only affect relocations explicitly referencing STT_SECTION symbols, e.g.

IMO all reasonable use cases are unaffected.

b441fd60b2 [RISCV] Separate hasRoundModeOpNum into separate VXRM and FRM functions.
Preparation for developing a new rounding mode insertion algorithm
that is going to be different between them since VXRM doesn't need
to be save/restored.

This also unifies the FRM handling in RISCVISelLowering.cpp between
scalar and vector.

Fixes outdated comments in RISCVAsmPrinter and sorts the predicate
function by the reverse order of the operands being skipped.

These 8/16/32/64 fixup kinds from D103539 are no longer needed after
D155357.

R_RISCV_SET6/R_RISCV_SUB6 are unneeded even before D155357.
`return Value & 0x03` is incorrect, and the non-zero TargetOffset is
probably to affect applyFixup, but the relevant code is dead as Value == 0.

a0d8a53c7d [RISCV][MC] Implement mapping symbols
Mapping symbols [1] are special ELF symbols that can be inserted to
indicate regions of code or data. A sequence of data bytes is indicated
by a `$d` (or `$d.<any>`) symbol pointing to its start while a sequence
of instructions uses a `$x` (or `$x.<any>`) symbol. This can be used,
for example, to assist disassembling a memory region containing both
data and code.

This patch implements mapping symbols for RISC-V, copying the
implementation mostly from the AArch64 target.

Note that the `$x<ISA>` mapping symbol, indicating an instruction
sequence with a specific ISA extension, is not implemented by this
patch. As far as I can tell, binutils doesn't implement this yet either.

Note that this patch uses the same symbol naming convention as the
AArch64 target: always use `$x.i` and `$d.i` (where `i` is a
monotonically increasing counter). This differs from binutils where all
symbols are named `$x` or `$d` (causing multiple symbol having the same
name). I'm not not sure whether it makes more sense to avoid duplicate
symbol names or be consistent with binutils.

Note that the handling of nop-slides inserted for alignment differs from
binutils: binutils always marks the nops as instructions (`$x`) while
this patch doesn't insert a symbol for the nops (so the last inserted
symbol is used). I believe binutil's behavior makes most sense but this
seems difficult to implement in LLVM as the insertion of nops is handled
by `RISCVAsmBackend`. At this point, inserting ELF symbols seems
impossible. Any ideas for how to handle this would be appreciated.

856745c5eb [RISCV][MC] Relax conditional branches to unresolved symbols
D108961 introduced relaxation for out-of-range conditional branches.
However, relaxation was only performed when the branch target could be
resolved. I believe this has two undesired consequences:

- `b<cc> ... foo`, where `foo` is undefined, would not be relaxed
  although there is no guarantee the offset to `foo` will fit;
- Conditional branches are never relaxed with `-mattr=+relax` because MC
  considers fixups where `shouldForceRelocation` returns true (which
  will be the case with `+relax`) to be unresolved.

Note that binutils performs conditional branch relaxation in both cases.

This patch proposes to perform conditional branch relaxation even when
the target cannot be resolved.

Note on llvm/test/MC/RISCV/long-conditional-jump.s: I've removed the
`.p2align` because this causes alignment nops to be inserted for the
`+relax` tests. This in turn causes all the branch targets to change
compared to the non-`+relax` tests. Since `+relax` shouldn't change
these offsets, I found this confusing and hence chose to remove the
alignment.

afb2e9f44c [RISCV][MC] Add CLI option to disable branch relaxation
D154958 enables branch relaxation for unresolved symbols. This has an
interesting consequence for some LLD tests: branch relocations are
tested by using branches to undefined symbols and defining them, with
different values, on the LLD command line. These tests broke and there
doesn't seem to be an easy workaround: as far as I can tell, there is no
way to convince llvm-mc to emit a branch relocation to an undefined
symbol without branch relaxation kicking in.

This patch proposes to add a flag, `-riscv-asm-relax-branches=0`, to do
just that. The main purpose for this flag is for testing but it might be
seen as a first step to some kind of "strict" or WYSIWYG mode (i.e.,
what you give to the assembler is exactly what comes out). The need for
this has been mentioned in, for example, D108961. However, I suspect
there will be a lot of discussion around what exactly such a strict mode
would look like. Therefore, I gated this feature behind a CLI flag
instead of adding a new target feature.

ffa829c4c5 [RISCV] Allow delayed decision for ADD/SUB relocations
For a label difference `A-B` in assembly, if A and B are separated by a
linker-relaxable instruction, we should emit a pair of ADD/SUB
relocations (e.g. R_RISCV_ADD32/R_RISCV_SUB32,
R_RISCV_ADD64/R_RISCV_SUB64).

However, the decision is made upfront at parsing time with inadequate
heuristics (`requiresFixup`). As a result, LLVM integrated assembler
incorrectly suppresses R_RISCV_ADD32/R_RISCV_SUB32 for the following
code:

To fix the bug, make two primary changes:

* Delete `requiresFixups` and the overridden emitValueImpl (from D103539).
  This deletion requires accurate evaluateAsAbolute (D153097).
* In MCAssembler::evaluateFixup, call handleAddSubRelocations to emit
  ADD/SUB relocations.

However, there is a remaining issue in
MCExpr.cpp:AttemptToFoldSymbolOffsetDifference. With MCAsmLayout, we may
incorrectly fold A-B even when A and B are separated by a
linker-relaxable instruction. This deficiency is acknowledged (see
D153097), but was previously bypassed by eagerly emitting ADD/SUB using
`requiresFixups`. To address this, we partially reintroduce `canFold` (from
D61584, removed by D103539).

Some expressions (e.g. .size and .fill) need to take the `MCAsmLayout`
code path in AttemptToFoldSymbolOffsetDifference, avoiding relocations
(weird, but matching GNU assembler and needed to match user
expectation). Switch to evaluateKnownAbsolute to leverage the `InSet`
condition.

As a bonus, this change allows for the removal of some relocations for
the FDE `address_range` field in the .eh_frame section.

riscv64-64b-pcrel.s contains the main test.
Add a linker relaxable instruction to dwarf-riscv-relocs.ll to test what
it intends to test.
Merge fixups-relax-diff.ll into fixups-diff.ll.

Specification PR: riscv-non-isa/rvv-intrinsic-doc#226

This patch adds variant of `vfadd` that models the rounding mode control.
The added variant has suffix `_rm` appended to differentiate from the
existing ones that does not alternate `frm` and uses whatever is inside.

The value `7` is used to indicate no rounding mode change. Reusing the
semantic from the rounding mode encoding for scalar floating-point
instructions.

Additional data member `HasFRMRoundModeOp` is added so we can append
`_rm` suffix for the fadd variants that models rounding mode control.

Additional data member `IsRVVFixedPoint` is added so we can define
pseudo instructions with rounding mode operand and distinguish the
instructions between fixed-point and floating-point.

e6fed06335 [RISCV] Make linker-relaxable instructions terminate MCDataFragment
`MCExpr::evaluateAsAbsolute` has a longstanding bug. When the MCAssembler is
non-null and the MCAsmLayout is null, it may incorrectly fold A-B even if A and
B are separated by a linker-relaxable instruction. This behavior can suppress
some ADD/SUB relocations and lead to wrong results if the linker performs
relaxation.

To fix the bug, ensure that linker-relaxable instructions only appear at the end
of an MCDataFragment, thereby making them terminate the fragment. When computing
A-B, suppress folding if A and B are separated by a linker-relaxable
instruction.

* `.subsection` now correctly give errors for non-foldable expressions.
* gen-dwarf.s will pass even if we add back the .debug_line or .eh_frame/.debug_frame code from D150004
* This will fix suppressed relocation when we add R_RISCV_SET_ULEB128/R_RISCV_SUB_ULEB128.

In the future, we should investigate the desired behavior for

8de9f2b558 Move SubtargetFeature.h from MC to TargetParser
SubtargetFeature.h is currently part of MC while it doesn't depend on
anything in MC. Since some LLVM components might have the need to work
with target features without necessarily needing MC, it might be
worthwhile to move SubtargetFeature.h to a different location. This will
reduce the dependencies of said components.

Note that I choose TargetParser as the destination because that's where
Triple lives and SubtargetFeatures feels related to that.

This issues came up during a JITLink review (D149522). JITLink would
like to avoid a dependency on MC while still needing to store target
features.

7c8365121a [2/3][RISCV][POC] Model vxrm in LLVM intrinsics and machine instructions for RVV fixed-point instructions
Depends on D151395.

This is the 2nd patch of the patch-set. For the cover letter of the
patch-set, please checkout D151395. This patch originates from
D121376.

This commit models vxrm by adding an immediate operand into intrinsics
and machine instructions of RVV fixed-point instruction `vaadd`,
`vaaddu`, `vasub`, and `vasubu`. This commit only covers intrinsics of
the four instructions, the proceeding patches of the patch-set will do
the same to other RVV fixed-point instructions.

The current naiive approach is to have a write to vxrm inserted before
every fixed-point instruction. This is done by the new added pass
`RISCVInsertReadWriteCSR`. The reason to name the pass in a more general
term is because we will also model rounding mode for the RVV floating-
point instructions. The approach will be improved in the future,
implementing partial redundancy elimination algorithms to it.

The original LLVM intrinsics and machine instructions, take `vaadd` as
an example, does not model the rounding mode is not removed in this
patch. That is, `int.riscv.vaadd.*` co-exists with
`int.riscv.vaadd.rm.*` after this patch. The next patch will add C
intrinsics of vaadd with an additional operand that models the control
of the rounding mode, in this patch, `int.riscv.vaadd.rm.*` will
replace `int.riscv.vaadd.*`.

2ef56d16ad [RISCV] relaxDwarfCallFrameFragment: remove unneeded relocations for relaxation
If `evaluateAsAbsolute(Value, Layout.getAssembler())` returns true, we
know the address delta is a constant and can suppress relocations
(usually SET6/SUB6).

While here, replace one evaluateKnownAbsolute call (subtle for Mach-O
workarounds; avoid if possible) with evaluateAsAbsolute.

b41e0fb44f [RISCV] Prevent overflowing the small size of InstSeq in generateInstSeq.
The small size is 8 which is the worst case of the core recursive
algorithm.

The special cases use the core algorithm and append additonal
instructions. We were pushing the extra instructions before checking
the profitability. This could lead to 9 and maybe 10 instructions
in the sequence which overflows the small size.

This patch does the profitability check before inserting the
extra instructions so that we don't create 9 or 10 insruction
sequences.

Alternative we could bump the small size to 9 or 10, but then
we're pushing things that are never going be used.

d170eff527 [RISCV] Begin removing hasDummyMask.
This was used to know if we need to insert a dummy operand during
MCInstLowering. We can use the operand info from MCInstrDesc to
figure this out without needing a separate flag.

I'll remove the tablegen bits if there is consensus this is a good
idea.

4f5f38bdab [RISCV] Add early out to generateInstSeq when the initial sequence is 1 or 2 instructions.
This avoids checking the size of the sequence repeatedly for each
special case. Especially on RV32 where none of the special cases
apply.
