[AMDGPU] - Add address space for strided buffers (#74471)
This is an experimental address space for strided buffers. These buffers
can have structs as elements and
a stride > 1.
These pointers allow the indexed access in units of stride, i.e., they
point at `buffer[index * stride]`.
Thus, we can use the `idxen` modifier for buffer loads.

We assign address space 9 to 192-bit buffer pointers which contain a
128-bit descriptor, a 32-bit offset and a 32-bit index. Essentially,
they are fat buffer pointers with an additional 32-bit index.

[NFC][Py Reformat] Reformat lit.local.cfg python files in llvm
This is a follow-up to b71edfaa4ec3c998aadb35255ce2f60bba2940b0
since I forgot the lit.local.cfg files in that one.

Reformatting is done with `black`.

If you end up having problems merging this commit because you
have made changes to a python file, the best way to handle that
is to run git checkout --ours <yourfile> and then reformat it
with black.

If you run into any problems, post to discourse about it and
we will try to help.

f9c1ede254 [AMDGPU] Define data layout entries for buffers
Per discussion at

we define two new address spaces for AMDGCN targets.

The first is address space 7, a non-integral address space (which was
already in the data layout) that has 160-bit pointers (which are
256-bit aligned) and uses a 32-bit offset. These pointers combine a
128-bit buffer descriptor and a 32-bit offset, and will be usable with
normal LLVM operations (load, store, GEP). However, they will be
rewritten out of existence before code generation.

The second of these is address space 8, the address space for "buffer
resources". These will be used to represent the resource arguments to
buffer instructions, and new buffer intrinsics will be defined that
take them instead of <4 x i32> as resource arguments. ptr
addrspace(8). These pointers are 128-bits long (with the same
alignment). They must not be used as the arguments to getelementptr or
otherwise used in address computations, since they can have
arbitrarily complex inherent addressing semantics that can't be
represented in LLVM. Even though, like their address space 7 cousins,
these pointers have deterministic ptrtoint/inttoptr semantics, they
are defined to be non-integral in order to prevent optimizations that
rely on pointers being a [0, [addr_max]] value from applying to them.

Future work includes:
- Defining new buffer intrinsics that take ptr addrspace(8) resources.
- A late rewrite to turn address space 7 operations into buffer
intrinsics and offset computations.

This commit also updates the "fallback address space" for buffer
intrinsics to the buffer resource, and updates the alias analysis
table.

8ff4832679 [LSR] Preserve LCSSA when rewriting instruction with PHI user
Fixes https://github.com/llvm/llvm-project/issues/61182.

LoopStrengthReduce may sometimes break LCSSA form when applying a rewrite
for an instruction used in a PHI.
It happens if:
 - The PHI is in a loop exit block,
 - The edge from the corresponding exiting block to that exit is critical,
 - The PHI has at least two inputs coming from loop blocks,
 - and the rewritten instruction is inserted in the loop.

In such case we split the critical edge and then replace PHI inputs
with the rewritten instruction. However ExitBlock is no longer
a loop exit, so LCSSA form is broken.

This patch fixes it by collecting all inserted instructions for PHIs
whose parent block is not a loop exit and then forming LCSSA for them.

9ed2f14c87 [AsmParser] Remove typed pointer auto-detection
IR is now always parsed in opaque pointer mode, unless
-opaque-pointers=0 is explicitly given. There is no automatic
detection of typed pointers anymore.

The -opaque-pointers=0 option is added to any remaining IR tests
that haven't been migrated yet.

18f9351223 [AMDGPU] Do not generate ELF symbols for the local branch target labels
The compiler was generating symbols in the final code object for local
branch target labels. This bloats the code object, slows down the loader,
and is only used to simplify disassembly.

Use '--symbolize-operands' with llvm-objdump to improve readability of the
branch target operands in disassembly.

c4c379d633 [LoopStrengthReduction] Fix pointer extend asserts
Additional asserts were added to ScalarEvolution to enforce
pointer/int type rules. An assert is triggered when the LSR pass
attempts to extend a pointer SCEV in GenerateTruncates.

This patch changes GenerateTruncates to exit early if the Formaula
contains a ScaledReg or BaseReg with a pointer type.

7ac1c7bead Recommit [ScalarEvolution] Make getMinusSCEV() fail for unrelated pointers.
As part of making ScalarEvolution's handling of pointers consistent, we
want to forbid multiplying a pointer by -1 (or any other value). This
means we can't blindly subtract pointers.

There are a few ways we could deal with this:
1. We could completely forbid subtracting pointers in getMinusSCEV()
2. We could forbid subracting pointers with different pointer bases
(this patch).
3. We could try to ptrtoint pointer operands.

The option in this patch is more friendly to non-integral pointers: code
that works with normal pointers will also work with non-integral
pointers. And it seems like there are very few places that actually
benefit from the third option.

As a minimal patch, the ScalarEvolution implementation of getMinusSCEV
still ends up subtracting pointers if they have the same base.  This
should eliminate the shared pointer base, but eventually we'll need to
rewrite it to avoid negating the pointer base. I plan to do this as a
separate step to allow measuring the compile-time impact.

This doesn't cause obvious functional changes in most cases; the one
case that is significantly affected is ICmpZero handling in LSR (which
is the source of almost all the test changes).  The resulting changes
seem okay to me, but suggestions welcome.  As an alternative, I tried
explicitly ptrtoint'ing the operands, but the result doesn't seem
obviously better.

I deleted the test lsr-undef-in-binop.ll becuase I couldn't figure out
how to repair it to test what it was actually trying to test.

Recommitting with fix to MemoryDepChecker::isDependent.

bf147c4653 [LSR] Fix for pre-indexed generated constant offset
This patch changed the isLegalUse check to ensure that
LSRInstance::GenerateConstantOffsetsImpl generates an
offset that results in a legal addressing mode and
formula. The check is changed to look similar to the
assert check used for illegal formulas.

Reland [SCEV] Improve modelling for (null) pointer constants

and relands commit 61f006ac655431bd44b9e089f74c73bec0c1a48c.

This is a continuation of D89456.

As it was suggested there, now that SCEV models `PtrToInt`,
we can try to improve SCEV's pointer handling.
In particular, i believe, i will need this in the future
to further fix `SCEVAddExpr`operation type handling.

This removes special handling of `ConstantPointerNull`
from `ScalarEvolution::createSCEV()`, and add constant folding
into `ScalarEvolution::getPtrToIntExpr()`.
This way, `null` constants stay as such in SCEV's,
but gracefully become zero integers when asked.

3dbeefa978 AMDGPU: Mark all unspecified CC functions in tests as amdgpu_kernel
Currently the default C calling convention functions are treated
the same as compute kernels. Make this explicit so the default
calling convention can be changed to a non-kernel.

Converted with perl -pi -e 's/define void/define amdgpu_kernel void/'
on the relevant test directories (and undoing in one place that actually
wanted a non-kernel).

ece84cd10c [LSR] Pointers with different address spaces are considered incompatible.
Summary:
Function isCompatibleIVType is already used as a guard before the call to

 SE.getMinusSCEV(OperExpr, PrevExpr);

in LSRInstance::ChainInstruction. getMinusSCEV requires the expressions
to be of the same type, so we now consider two pointers with different
address spaces to be incompatible, since it is possible that the pointers
in fact have different sizes.

1f2ca66317 LSR: Don't drop address space when type doesn't match
For targets with different addressing modes in each address space,
if this is dropped querying isLegalAddressingMode later with this
will give a nonsense result, breaking the isLegalUse assertions.

This is a candidate for the 4.0 release branch.

7d1b6c81af AMDGPU: Stop reporting an addressing mode for unknown addrspace
This was being treated the same as private, which has an immediate
offset. For unknown, it probably means it's for a computation not
actually being used for accessing memory, so it should not have a
nontrivial addressing mode.

427a0fd22e LoopStrengthReduce: Try to pass address space to isLegalAddressingMode
This seems to only work some of the time. In some situations,
this seems to use a nonsensical type and isn't actually aware of the
memory being accessed. e.g. if branch condition is an icmp of a pointer,
it checks the addressing mode of i1.
