33da608ecc [AMDGPU][InferAddressSpaces] Only rewrite address-spaces that can be trivially casted to flat for llvm.amdgcn.flat.atomic.{fadd,fmax,fmin}
The intrinsic @llvm.amdgcn.flat.atomic.{fadd,fmax,fmin} can only be
selected for flat address spaces (constant, flat and global).

This patch restricts the cases over which GCNTTIImpl::rewriteIntrinsicWithAddressSpace
rewrites the intrinsic.

08140d165e [AMDGPU] Add optional tied-op for wwm-register's epilog spill restore
The COPY inserted in the epilog block before return instruction as part
of ABI lowering, can get optimized during machine copy propagation if
the same register is used earlier in a wwm operation that demands the
prolog/epilog wwm-spill store/restore to preserve its inactive lanes.
With the spill restore in the epilog, the preceding COPY appears to be
dead during machine-cp. To avoid it, mark the same register as a tied-op
in the spill restore instruction to ensure a usage for the COPY.

fbe1c0616f [LLVM][Uniformity] Improve detection of uniform registers
The MachineUA now queries the target to determine if a given register holds a
uniform value. This is determined using the corresponding register bank if
available, or by a combination of the register class and value type. This
assumes that the target is optimizing for performance by choosing registers, and
the target is responsible for any mismatch with the inferred uniformity.

For example, on AMDGPU, an SGPR is now treated as uniform, except if the
register bank is VCC (i.e., the register holds a wave-wide vector of 1-bit
values) or equivalently if it has a value type of s1.

 - This does not always work with inline asm, where the register bank or the
   value type might not be present. We assume that the SGPR is uniform, because
   it is not expected to be s1 in the vast majority of cases.
 - The pseudo branch instruction SI_LOOP is now hard-coded to be always
   divergent, although its condition is an SGPR.

3181a6e3e7 [AMDGPU] Trim zero components from buffer and image stores
For image and buffer stores the default behaviour on GFX11 and
older is to set all unset components to zero. So if we pass
only X component it will be the same as X000, or XY same as XY00.

This patch simplifies the passed vector of components in InstCombine
by removing zero components from the end.

For image stores it also trims DMask if necessary.

52a2d07bb3 [AMDGPU] Improve PHI-breaking heuristics in CGP
D147786 made the transform more conservative by adding heuristics,
which was a good idea. However, the transform got a bit
too conservative at times.

This caused a surprise in some rocRAND benchmarks because D143731 greatly helped a few of them.
For instance, a few xorwow-uniform tests saw a +30% boost in performance after that pass, which was lost when D147786 landed.

This patch is an attempt at reaching a middleground that makes
the pass a bit more permissive. It continues in the same spirit as
D147786 but does the following changes:
- PHI users of a PHI node are now recursively checked. When loops are encountered, we consider the PHIs non-breakable. (Considering them breakable had very negative effect in one app I tested)
-  `shufflevector` is now considered interesting, given that it satisfies a few trivial checks.

bcbd9b021a [AMDGPU][MC] Don't accept attr > 32 for param_load
The docs say the interpolation attribute should be between 0..32 [1][2],
but we currently accept values all the way up to 63.

This patch makes the ASMParser error out for values > 32. It does not
touch codegen though because we're currently not checking anything at
all for codegen (llvm.amdgcn.lds.param.load will happily accept even 128
as an attr, although that won't fit in the encoding).

88149fb3f4 [AMDGPU][GFX908] IndirectCopyToAGPR: Confirm modified register is dst reg of accvgpr_write
IndirectCopyToAGPR should be reworked as to avoid optimizing during copy lowering. However, as it stands, the code is buggy. This patch replaces the call to definesRegister with modifiesRegister, and confirms that the dest reg of the found accvgpr_write is in fact the src reg of our copy.

53a4adc0de [AMDGPU] Fix crash with 160-bit p7's by manually defining getPointerTy
While pointers in address space 7 (128 bit rsrc + 32 bit offset)
should be rewritten out of the code before IR translation on AMDGPU,
higher-level analyses may still call MVT getPointerTy() and the like
on the target machine. Currently, since there is no MVT::i160, this
operation ends up causing crashes.

The changes to the data layout that caused such crashes were D149776.

This patch causes getPointerTy() to return the type MVT::v5i32
and getPointerMemTy() to be MVT::v8i32. These are accurate types,
but mean that we can't use vectors of address space 7 pointers during
codegen. This is mostly OK, since vectors of buffers aren't supported
in LPC anyway, but it's a noticable limitation.

Potential alternative solutions include adjusting getPointerTy() to return
an EVT or adding MVT::i160 and MVT::i256, both of which are rather
disruptive to the rest of the compiler.

The code is doing the optimization:
`((a | c1) << c2)` ==> `(a << c2) + (c1 << c2)`
But this is only valid if `a` and `c1` have no common bits being set.

7591a7b6ea [AMDGPU][MC] Clean up DPP bound_ctrl handling
At the moment, we set the BC bit in DPP for both bound_ctrl:0 and
bound_ctrl:1, for compatibility with sp3 (see PR35397). However, this
hack is only needed for GFX8. For newer GFXs, sp3 behaves as expected,
i.e. it sets the bit when bound_ctrl:1 and clears it when bound_ctrl:0.

This patch updates LLVM to do the same for GFX11 or newer. We preserve
the current behaviour for GFX9 and 10 so we don't break any existing
code.

0d1864a754 [AMDGPU] Recompute liveness in SIOptimizeExecMaskingPreRA
Instead of ad-hoc updating liveness, recompute it completely for the affected register.

This does not affect any existing test and fixes an edge case that
caused a "Non-empty but used interval" error in the register allocator
due to how the pass updated liveranges. It created a "isolated" live-through
segment.

Overall this change just seems to be a net positive with no side effect observed. There may be a compile time impact but it's expected to be minimal.

cf76074a36 [AMDGPU][GlobalISel] Check exact width in get*ClassForBitWidth and widen if necessary
Instead of checking if the given bitwidth is less or equal to a bitwidth of an existing RegClass,
check if it has the exact same value.

For LLVM vector types that don't have a corresponding Register Class, widen them during legalization.
That goes for G_EXTRACT_VECTOR_ELT, G_INSERT_VECTOR_ELT and G_BUILD_VECTOR.

f9c1ede254 [AMDGPU] Define data layout entries for buffers
Per discussion at
https://discourse.llvm.org/t/representing-buffer-descriptors-in-the-amdgpu-target-call-for-suggestions/68798,
we define two new address spaces for AMDGCN targets.

The first is address space 7, a non-integral address space (which was
already in the data layout) that has 160-bit pointers (which are
256-bit aligned) and uses a 32-bit offset. These pointers combine a
128-bit buffer descriptor and a 32-bit offset, and will be usable with
normal LLVM operations (load, store, GEP). However, they will be
rewritten out of existence before code generation.

The second of these is address space 8, the address space for "buffer
resources". These will be used to represent the resource arguments to
buffer instructions, and new buffer intrinsics will be defined that
take them instead of <4 x i32> as resource arguments. ptr
addrspace(8). These pointers are 128-bits long (with the same
alignment). They must not be used as the arguments to getelementptr or
otherwise used in address computations, since they can have
arbitrarily complex inherent addressing semantics that can't be
represented in LLVM. Even though, like their address space 7 cousins,
these pointers have deterministic ptrtoint/inttoptr semantics, they
are defined to be non-integral in order to prevent optimizations that
rely on pointers being a [0, [addr_max]] value from applying to them.

Future work includes:
- Defining new buffer intrinsics that take ptr addrspace(8) resources.
- A late rewrite to turn address space 7 operations into buffer
intrinsics and offset computations.

This commit also updates the "fallback address space" for buffer
intrinsics to the buffer resource, and updates the alias analysis
table.

9cfeba5b12 Restore CodeGen/LowLevelType from Support
This is rework of;
  - D30046 (LLT)

Since I have introduced `llvm-min-tblgen` as D146352, `llvm-tblgen`
may depend on `CodeGen`.

`LowLevlType.h` originally belonged to `CodeGen`. Almost all userse are
still under `CodeGen` or `Target`. I think `CodeGen` is the right place
to put `LowLevelType.h`.

`MachineValueType.h` may be moved as well. (later, D149024)

I have made many modules depend on `CodeGen`. It is consistent but
inefficient. It will be split out later, D148769

Besides, I had to isolate MVT and LLT in modmap, since
`llvm::PredicateInfo` clashes between `TableGen/CodeGenSchedule.h`
and `Transforms/Utils/PredicateInfo.h`.
(I think better to introduce namespace llvm::TableGen)

a1da746157 [AMDGPU] Place global constructors in .init_array and .fini_array
For the GPU, we emit external kernels that call the initializers and
constructors, however if we had a persistent kernel like in the `_start`
kernel for the `libc` project, we could initialize the standard way of
calling constructors. This patch adds new global variables containing
pointers to the constructors to be called. If these are placed in the
`.init_array` and `.fini_array` sections, then the backend will handle
them specially. The linker will then provide the `__init_array_` and
`__fini_array_` sections to traverse them. An implementation would look
like this.

bc37be1855 LangRef: Add "dynamic" option to "denormal-fp-math"
This is stricter than the default "ieee", and should probably be the
default. This patch leaves the default alone. I can change this in a
future patch.

There are non-reversible transforms I would like to perform which are
legal under IEEE denormal handling, but illegal with flushing zero
behavior. Namely, conversions between llvm.is.fpclass and fcmp with
zeroes.

Under "ieee" handling, it is legal to translate between
llvm.is.fpclass(x, fcZero) and fcmp x, 0.

Under "preserve-sign" handling, it is legal to translate between
llvm.is.fpclass(x, fcSubnormal|fcZero) and fcmp x, 0.

I would like to compile and distribute some math library functions in
a mode where it's callable from code with and without denormals
enabled, which requires not changing the compares with denormals or
zeroes.

If an IEEE function transforms an llvm.is.fpclass call into an fcmp 0,
it is no longer possible to call the function from code with denormals
enabled, or write an optimization to move the function into a denormal
flushing mode. For the original function, if x was a denormal, the
class would evaluate to false. If the function compiled with denormal
handling was converted to or called from a preserve-sign function, the
fcmp now evaluates to true.

This could also be of use for strictfp handling, where code may be
changing the denormal mode.

Alternative name could be "unknown".

Replaces the old AMDGPU custom inlining logic with more conservative
logic which tries to permit inlining for callees with dynamic handling
and avoids inlining other mismatched modes.

7f0a881e6c [AMDGPU] Track liveins for max-ilp-sched-strategy
Even if optimizing for ILP, it is still useful to track RP to avoid spilling. Given that, we need to maintin consistent liveness state with the RP tracker. This patch makes RP tracking consistent by updating for liveins.

Otherwise, we should completely eliminate RP tracking for this scheduler (checkScheduling, initCandidate).

1ab8b9ae15 AMDGPU: Define sub-class of SGPR_64 for tail call return
Summary:
  Registers for tail call return should not be clobbered by callee.
So we need a sub-class of SGPR_64 (excluding callee saved registers (CSR)) to hold
the tail call return address.

Because GFX and C calling conventions have different CSR, we need to define
the sub-class separately. This work is an extension of D147096 with the
consideration of GFX calling convention.

Based on the calling conventions, different instructions will be selected with
different sub-class of SGPR_64 as the input.

1e63f8272e AMDGPU: Fix an assertion in SIOptimizeVGPRLiveRange
As the comment notes, the shader results in an INSERT_SUBREG with
"undef" (dead) operand in the Endif block. The same can happen with
REG_SEQUENCE. The register is considered dead from a liveness
analysis perspective. The correct thing to do seems to be nothing:
we keep the undef use of the register, the register allocator should
still be able to take the liveness into account correctly.

124acb7ca3 [AMDGPU] Fix negative offset values interpretation in getMemOperandsWithOffset for DS
The offset values may result in an erroneous scheduling of a load before write for a memory location if the offset values are represented as negative values in MIR, despite actually being unsigned values. This representation in MIR happens as SelectionDAG::getConstant could go through APInt to represent the encoding which assumes the MSB of the encoding as a sign-bit, regardless of whether it is supposed to be a signed value. The 8-bit negative (interpreted) value gets cast to an unsigned 32 bit value in getMemOperandsWithOffset used for comparisons in areMemAccessesTriviallyDisjoint eventually leading to an erroneous schedule in the machine scheduler.
