[IR][NFC] Update IRBuilder to use InsertPosition (#96497)
Uses the new InsertPosition class (added in #94226) to simplify some of
the IRBuilder interface, and removes the need to pass a BasicBlock
alongside a BasicBlock::iterator, using the fact that we can now get the
parent basic block from the iterator even if it points to the sentinel.
This patch removes the BasicBlock argument from each constructor or call
to setInsertPoint.

This has no functional effect, but later on as we look to remove the
`Instruction *InsertBefore` argument from instruction-creation
(discussed
[here](https://discourse.llvm.org/t/psa-instruction-constructors-changing-to-iterator-only-insertion/77845)),
this will simplify the process by allowing us to deprecate the
InsertPosition constructor directly and catch all the cases where we use
instructions rather than iterators.

[MC] Eliminate two symbol-related hash maps (#95464)
Previously, a symbol insertion requires (at least) three hash table
operations:

- Lookup/create entry in Symbols (main symbol table)
- Lookup NextUniqueID to deduplicate identical temporary labels
- Add entry to UsedNames, which is also used to serve as storage for the
symbol name in the MCSymbol.

All three lookups are done with the same name, so combining these into a
single table reduces the number of lookups to one. Thus, a pointer to a
symbol table entry can be passed to createSymbol to avoid a duplicate
lookup of the same name.

The new symbol table entry value is placed in a separate header to avoid
including MCContext in MCSymbol or vice versa.

[MC] Remove SectionKind from MCSection (#96067)
There are only three actual uses of the section kind in MCSection:
isText(), XCOFF, and WebAssembly. Store isText() in the MCSection, and
store other info in the actual section variants where required.

ELF and COFF flags also encode all relevant information, so for these
two section variants, remove the SectionKind parameter entirely.

This allows to remove the string switch (which is unnecessary and
inaccurate) from createELFSectionImpl. This was introduced in
[D133456](https://reviews.llvm.org/D133456), but apparently, it was
never hit for non-writable sections anyway and the resulting kind was
never used.

[WASM] Fix for wasi libc build break add tan to RuntimeLibcallSignatureTable (#95082)
The wasm backend fetches the tan runtime lib call in
`llvm/include/llvm/IR/RuntimeLibcalls.def` via `StaticLibcallNameMap()`,
but ignores the runtime function because a function sinature mapping is
not specified in RuntimeLibcallSignatureTable(). The fix is to specify
the function signatures for float32-128.

This is a fix for a build break reported on PR
https://github.com/llvm/llvm-project/pull/94559#issuecomment-2159923215.

[SelectionDAG] Add an ISD::CLEAR_CACHE node to lower llvm.clear_cache (#93795)
The current way of lowering `llvm.clear_cache` is a bit unusual. As
suggested by Matt Arsenault we are better off using an ISD node.

This change introduces a new `ISD::CLEAR_CACHE`, registers a new libcall
by default named `__clear_cache` and the default legalisation is a
libcall.

This is preparatory work for a custom lowering of `ISD::CLEAR_CACHE`
needed by RISC-V on some platforms.

[CodeGen] Make the parameter TRI required in some functions. (#85968)
Fixes #82659

There are some functions, such as `findRegisterDefOperandIdx` and  `findRegisterDefOperand`, that have too many default parameters. As a result, we have encountered some issues due to the lack of TRI  parameters, as shown in issue #82411.

Following @RKSimon 's suggestion, this patch refactors 9 functions, including `{reads, kills, defines, modifies}Register`,  `registerDefIsDead`, and `findRegister{UseOperandIdx, UseOperand, DefOperandIdx, DefOperand}`, adjusting the order of the TRI parameter and making it required. In addition, all the places that call these functions have also been updated correctly to ensure no additional impact.

After this, the caller of these functions should explicitly know whether to pass the `TargetRegisterInfo` or just a `nullptr`.

[WebAssembly] Make RefTypeMem2Local recognize target-features (#88916)
Currently we check `Subtarget->hasReferenceTypes()` to decide whether to
run `RefTypeMem2Local` pass:

6133878227/llvm/lib/Target/WebAssembly/WebAssemblyTargetMachine.cpp (L491-L495)

This works fine when `-mattr=+reference-types` is given in the command
line (of `llc` or of `wasm-ld` in case of LTO). This also works fine if
the backend is called by Clang, because Clang's feature set will be
passed to the backend when creating a `TargetMachine`:

But if the backend compilation is called by `llc`, a `TargetMachine` is
created here:

And if the backend is called by `wasm-ld`'s LTO, a `TargetMachine` is
created here:

ac791888bb/llvm/lib/LTO/LTOBackend.cpp (L513)
At this point, in the both places, the created `TargetMachine` only has
access to target features given by the command line with `-mattr=` and
doesn't have access to bitcode functions' `target-features` attribute.

We later gather the target features used by functions and store that
info in the `TargetMachine` in `CoalesceFeaturesAndStripAtomics`,
ac791888bb/llvm/lib/Target/WebAssembly/WebAssemblyTargetMachine.cpp (L202-L206)
but this runs in the pass pipeline driven by the pass manager, so this
has not run by the time we check `Subtarget->hasReferenceTypes()` in
`WebAssemblyPassConfig::addISelPrepare`. So currently `RefTypeMem2Local`
would not run on those functions with
`"target-features"="+reference-types"` attributes if the backend is
called by `llc` or `wasm-ld`.

So this makes `RefTypeMem2Local` pass run unconditionally, and checks
`target-featurs` function attribute to decide whether to run the pass on
each function. This allows the pass to run with `wasm-ld` + LTO and
`llc`, even if `-mattr=+reference-types` is not explicitly given in the
command line again, as long as `+reference-types` is in the function's
`target-features` attribute.

This also covers the case we give the target features by the command
line like `llc -mattr=+reference-types` and not in the bitcode
function's attribute, because attributes given in the command line will
be stored in the function's attributes anyway:

With this PR,
- `lto0.test_externref_emjs`

pass. These currently fail but don't get checked in the CI. I think they
used to pass but started to fail after #83196, because we used to run
mem2reg even with `-O0` before that.
(`ltoN` (N > 0) tests are not affected because they run mem2reg anyway
so they don't need `RefTypeMem2Local`)

[WebAssembly] Enable multivalue return when multivalue ABI is used (#88492)
Multivalue feature of WebAssembly has been standardized for several
years now. I think it makes sense to be able to enable it in the feature
section by default for our clang/llvm-produced binaries so that the
multivalue feature can be used as necessary when necessary within our
toolchain and also when running other optimizers (e.g. wasm-opt) after
the LLVM code generation.

But some WebAssembly toolchains, such as Emscripten, do not provide both
mulvalue-returning and not-multivalue-returning versions of libraries.
Also allowing the uses of multivalue in the features section does not
necessarily mean we generate them whenever we can to the fullest, which
is a different code generation / optimization option.

So this makes the lowering of multivalue returns conditional on the use
of 'experimental-mv' target ABI. This ABI is turned off by default and
turned on by passing `-Xclang -target-abi -Xclang experimental-mv` to
`clang`, or `-target-abi experimental-mv` to `clang -cc1` or `llc`.

But the purpose of this PR is not tying the multivalue lowering to this
specific 'experimental-mv'. 'experimental-mv' is just one multivalue ABI
we currently have, and it is still experimental, meaning it is not very
well optimized or tuned for performance. (e.g. it does not have the
limitation of the max number of multivalue-lowered values, which can be
detrimental to performance.) We may change the name of this ABI, or
improve it, or add a new multivalue ABI in the future. Also I heard that
WASI is planning to add their multivalue ABI soon. So the plan is,
whenever any one of multivalue ABIs is enabled, we enable the lowering
of multivalue returns in the backend. We currently have only
'experimental-mv' in the repo so we only check for that in this PR.

[AMDGPU] Add disassembler diagnostics for invalid kernel descriptors (#87400)
These mostly are checking for various reserved bits being set. The diagnostics
for gpu-dependent reserved bits have a bit more context since they seem like the
most likely ones to be observed in practice.

This commit also improves the error handling mechanism for
MCDisassembler::onSymbolStart(). Previously it had a comment stream parameter
that was just being ignored by llvm-objdump, now it returns errors using
Expected<T>.

[WebAssembly] Allocate MCSymbolWasm data on MCContext (#85866)
Fixes #85578, a use-after-free caused by some `MCSymbolWasm` data being
freed too early.

Previously, `WebAssemblyAsmParser` owned the data that is moved to
`MCContext` by this PR, which caused problems when handling module ASM,
because the ASM parser was destroyed after parsing the module ASM, but
the symbols persisted.

The added test passes locally with an LLVM build with AddressSanitizer
enabled.

Implementation notes:

* I've called the added method
<code>allocate<b><i>Generic</i></b>String</code> and added the second
paragraph of its documentation to maybe guide people a bit on when to
use this method (based on my (limited) understanding of the `MCContext`
class). We could also just call it `allocateString` and remove that
second paragraph.
* The added `createWasmSignature` method does not support taking the
return and parameter types as arguments: Specifying them afterwards is
barely any longer and prevents them from being accidentally specified in
the wrong order.
* This removes a _"TODO: Do the uniquing of Signatures here instead of
ObjectFileWriter?"_ since the field it's attached to is also removed.
Let me know if you think that TODO should be preserved somewhere.

This reverts commit 52431fdb1ab8d29be078edd55250e06381e4b6b0.

The PR assumed `__threwValue` couldn't be 0, but it could be when the
thrown thing is not a longjmp but an exception, so that `if` check was
actually necessary.

[WebAssembly] Remove threwValue comparison after __wasm_setjmp_test (#86633)
Currently the code thinks a `longjmp` occurred if both `__THREW__` and
`__threwValue` are nonzero. But `__threwValue` can be 0, and the
`longjmp` library function should change it to 1 in case it is 0:

Emscripten libraries were not consistent about that, but after
https://github.com/emscripten-core/emscripten/pull/21493 and
https://github.com/emscripten-core/emscripten/pull/21502, we correctly
pass 1 in case the input is 0. So there will be no case `__threwValue`
is 0. And regardless of what `longjmp` library function does, treating
`longjmp`'s 0 input to its second argument as "not longjmping" doesn't
seem right.

I'm not sure where that `__threwValue` checking came from, but probably
I was porting then fastcomp's implementation and moved this part just
verbatim:

[WebAssembly] Implement an alternative translation for -wasm-enable-sjlj (#84137)
Instead of maintaining per-function-invocation malloc()'ed tables to track which functions each label belongs to, store the equivalent info in jump buffers (jmp_buf) themselves.

Also, use a less emscripten-looking ABI symbols:

    saveSetjmp     -> __wasm_setjmp
    testSetjmp      -> __wasm_setjmp_test
    getTempRet0    -> (removed)
    __wasm_longjmp  -> (no change)
```

While I want to use this for WASI, it should work for emscripten as well.

[WebAssembly] Select BUILD_VECTOR with large unsigned lane values (#85880)
Previously we expected lane constants to be in the range of signed
values for each lane size, but the included test case produced large
unsigned values that fall outside that range. Allow instruction
selection to proceed in this case rather than failing.

[NFC][RemoveDIs] Use iterators for insertion at various call-sites (#84736)
These are the last remaining "trivial" changes to passes that use
Instruction pointers for insertion. All of this should be NFC, it's just
changing the spelling of how we identify a position.

In one or two locations, I'm also switching uses of getNextNode etc to
using std::next with iterators. This too should be NFC.

These are Wasm only functions so they are better be within `WebAssembly`
namespace rather than the `llvm` namespace which includes the whole

[WebAssembly] Use SetVector instead of SmallPtrSet in FixBrTableDefaults (#84418)
This pass inserts all the MBBs into a set and then iterates over them.
But when
the number of elements gets large enough, SmallPtrSet expands into a
hash table
which wouldn't have a deterministic iteration order since the elements
are
pointers. This results in nondeterministic jump table layouts.
Use SetVector instead for a deterministic iteration order.

[WebAssembly] Use RefTypeMem2Local instead of Mem2Reg (#83196)
When reference-types feature is enabled, forcing mem2reg unconditionally
even in `-O0` has some problems described in #81575. This uses
RefTypeMem2Local pass added in #81965 instead. This also removes
`IsForced` parameter added in

890146b192
given that we don't need it anymore.

This may still hurt debug info related to reference type variables a
little during the backend transformation given that they are not stored
in memory anymore, but reference type variables are presumably rare and
it would be still a lot less damage than forcing mem2reg on the whole
program. Also this fixes the EH problem described in #81575.
