6e3b0cc2fb [lldb][NFC] Rename ClangASTContext to TypeSystemClang
Summary:
This commit renames ClangASTContext to TypeSystemClang to better reflect what this class is actually supposed to do
(implement the TypeSystem interface for Clang). It also gets rid of the very confusing situation that we have both a
`clang::ASTContext` and a `ClangASTContext` in clang (which sometimes causes Clang people to think I'm fiddling
with Clang's ASTContext when I'm actually just doing LLDB work).

I also have plans to potentially have multiple clang::ASTContext instances associated with one ClangASTContext so
the ASTContext naming will then become even more confusing to people.

77da826eda [lldb] Make CompleteTagDeclsScope completion order deterministic
Summary:
We iterate over `m_decls_to_complete` to complete declarations. As
`m_decls_to_complete` is a set the iteration order can be non-deterministic.
The order is currently only non-deterministic when we have
a large set of decls that need to be completed (i.e. more than 32 decls,
as otherwise the SmallPtrSet is just a linear-searched list).

This doesn't really fix any specific bug or has any really observable
change in behavior as the order in which we import should not influence
any semantics. However the order we create decls/types is now always
deterministic which should make debugging easier.

ef23997261 [lldb] Remove FieldDecl stealing hack by rerouting indirect imports to the original AST
Summary:
This is a port of D67803 that was about preventing indirect importing to our scratch context when evaluating expressions.

D67803 already has a pretty long explanation of how this works, but the idea is that instead
of importing declarations indirectly over the expression AST (i.e., Debug info AST -> Expression AST -> scratch AST)
we instead directly import the declaration from the debug info AST to the scratch AST.

The difference from D67803 is that here we have to do this in the ASTImporterDelegate (which is our ASTImporter
subclass we use in LLDB). It has the same information as the ExternalASTMerger in D67803 as it can access the
ClangASTImporter (which also keeps track of where Decls originally came from).

With this patch we can also delete the FieldDecl stealing hack in the ClangASTSource (this was only necessary as the
indirect imports caused the creation of duplicate Record declarations but we needed the fields in the Record decl
we originally found in the scratch ASTContext).

This also fixes the current gmodules failures where we fail to find std::vector fields after an indirect import
over the expression AST (where it seems even our FieldDecl stealing hack can't save us from).

f9f49d3594 [lldb][NFC] Return a reference from ClangASTContext::getASTContext and remove dead nullptr checks
ClangASTContext::getASTContext() currently returns a ptr but we have an assert there since a

that is doing nullptr checks on the result of getASTContext() which is all unreachable code.

This patch changes the return value to a reference to make it clear this can't be a nullptr
and deletes all the nullptr checks.

6192ad2622 Move decl completion out of the ASTImporterDelegate and document it [NFC]
Summary:
The ASTImporterDelegate is currently responsible for both recording and also completing
types. This patch moves the actual completion and recording code outside the ASTImporterDelegate
to reduce the amount of responsibilities the ASTImporterDelegate has to fulfill.

As I anyway had to touch the code when moving I also documented and refactored most of it
(e.g. no more asserts that we call the deporting start/end function always as a pair).

Note that I had to make the ASTImporterDelegate and it's related functions public now so that
I can move out the functionality in another class (that doesn't need to be in the header).

63e5fb76ec [Logging] Replace Log::Printf with LLDB_LOG macro (NFC)
This patch replaces explicit calls to log::Printf with the new LLDB_LOGF

So instead of writing:

248a13057a [lldb] NFC modernize codebase with modernize-use-nullptr

`nullptr` instread of `0` or `NULL`. See

This is the command I ran and I to fix and format the code base:

```
	-fix ~/dev/llvm-project/lldb/.* \
	-format \
NOTE: There were also changes to `llvm/utils/unittest` but I did not
include them because I felt that maybe this library shall be updated in
isolation somehow.
NOTE: I know this is a rather large commit but it is a nobrainer in most
parts.
5ac6d49065 [ASTImporter] Use llvm::Expected and Error in the importer API
Summary:
This is the final phase of the refactoring towards using llvm::Expected
and llvm::Error in the ASTImporter API.
This involves the following:
- remove old Import functions which returned with a pointer,
- use the Import_New functions (which return with Err or Expected) everywhere
  and handle their return value
- rename Import_New functions to Import
This affects both Clang and LLDB.
f74a4c1f6d Instantiate 'std' templates explicitly in the expression evaluator
Summary:
This patch is a follow-up for D58125. It implements the manual instantiation and merging of 'std' templates like
`std::vector` and `std::shared_ptr` with information from the debug info AST. This (finally) allows using these classes
in the expression evaluator like every other class (i.e. things like `vec.size()` and shared_ptr debugging now works, yay!).
The main logic is the `CxxModuleHandler` which intercept the ASTImporter import process and replaces any `std` decls
by decls from the C++ module. The decls from the C++ module are "imported" by just deserializing them directly in
the expression evaluation context. This is mostly because we don't want to rely on the ASTImporter to correctly import
these declarations, but in the future we should also move to the ASTImporter for that.
This patch doesn't contain the automatic desugaring for result variables. This means that if you call for example
`size` of `std::vector` you maybe get some very verbose typedef'd type as the variable type, e.g.
`std::vector<int, std::allocator<int>>::value_type`.
This is not only unreadable, it also means that our ASTImporter has to import all these types and associated
decls into the persisent variable context. This currently usually leads to some assertion getting triggered
in Clang when the ASTImporter either makes a mistake during importing or our debug info AST is inconsitent.
The current workaround I use in the tests is to just cast the result to it's actual type (e.g. `size_t` or `int`) to prevent
the ASTImporter from having to handle all these complicated decls.
The automatic desugaring will be a future patch because I'm not happy yet with the current code for that and because
I anticipate that this will be a controversial patch.
Essentially, all code in the project is now made available by the LLVM
b9c1b51e45 *** This commit represents a complete reformatting of the LLDB source code
*** to conform to clang-format’s LLVM style.  This kind of mass change has
*** two obvious implications:
Firstly, merging this particular commit into a downstream fork may be a huge
effort.  Alternatively, it may be worth merging all changes up to this commit,
performing the same reformatting operation locally, and then discarding the
merge for this particular commit.  The commands used to accomplish this
reformatting were as follows (with current working directory as the root of
the repository):
    find . \( -iname "*.c" -or -iname "*.cpp" -or -iname "*.h" -or -iname "*.mm" \) -exec clang-format -i {} +
    find . -iname "*.py" -exec autopep8 --in-place --aggressive --aggressive {} + ;
The version of clang-format used was 3.9.0, and autopep8 was 1.2.4.
Secondly, “blame” style tools will generally point to this commit instead of
a meaningful prior commit.  There are alternatives available that will attempt
to look through this change and find the appropriate prior commit.  YMMV.
A few methods were moved to a new file called ClangUtil, so that
5dfc4a4d02 Added support for -gmodule debugging when debug info is left in the .o files on Darwin.
This is done by finding the types that are forward declarations that come from a module, and loading that module's debug info in a separate lldb_private::Module, and copying the type over into the current module using a ClangASTImporter object. ClangASTImporter objects are already used to copy types from on clang::ASTContext to another for expressions so the type copying code has been around for a while.
A new FindTypes variant was added to SymbolVendor and SymbolFile:
size_t
SymbolVendor::FindTypes (const std::vector<CompilerContext> &context, bool append, TypeMap& types);
size_t
SymbolVendor::FindTypes (const std::vector<CompilerContext> &context, bool append, TypeMap& types);
The CompilerContext is a way to represent the exact context of a type and pass it through an agnostic API boundary so that we can find that exact context elsewhere in another file. This was required here because we can have a module that has submodules, both of which have a "foo" type.
I am not able to add tests for this yet as we currently don't build our C/C++/ObjC binaries with the clang binary that we build. There are some driver issues where it can't find the header files for the C and C++ standard library which makes compiling these tests hard. We can't also guarantee that if we are building with clang that it supporst the exact format of -gmodule debugging that we are trying to test. We have had other versions of clang that had a different implementation of -gmodule debugging that we are no longer supporting, so we can't enable tests if we are building with clang without compiling something and looking at the structure of the DWARF that was generated to ensure that it is the format we can actually use.
99558cc424 Final bit of type system cleanup that abstracts declaration contexts into lldb_private::CompilerDeclContext and renames ClangType to CompilerType in many accessors and functions.
Create a new "lldb_private::CompilerDeclContext" class that will replace all direct uses of "clang::DeclContext" when used in compiler agnostic code, yet still allow for conversion to clang::DeclContext subclasses by clang specific code. This completes the abstraction of type parsing by removing all "clang::" references from the SymbolFileDWARF. The new "lldb_private::CompilerDeclContext" class abstracts decl contexts found in compiler type systems so they can be used in internal API calls. The TypeSystem is required to support CompilerDeclContexts with new pure virtual functions that start with "DeclContext" in the member function names. Converted all code that used lldb_private::ClangNamespaceDecl over to use the new CompilerDeclContext class and removed the ClangNamespaceDecl.cpp and ClangNamespaceDecl.h files.
Removed direct use of clang APIs from SBType and now use the abstract type systems to correctly explore types.
Bulk renames for things that used to return a ClangASTType which is now CompilerType:
    "Type::GetClangFullType()" to "Type::GetFullCompilerType()"
    "Type::GetClangLayoutType()" to "Type::GetLayoutCompilerType()"
    "Type::GetClangForwardType()" to "Type::GetForwardCompilerType()"
    "Value::GetClangType()" to "Value::GetCompilerType()"
    "Value::SetClangType (const CompilerType &)" to "Value::SetCompilerType (const CompilerType &)"
    "ValueObject::GetClangType ()" to "ValueObject::GetCompilerType()"
    many more renames that are similar.
abe140cc31 Eliminated a potential infinite recursion in structure layout when the origin
for a CXXRecordDecl gets pointed at that record.  This can happen when a type is
imported out of and then into the target's AST context without being laid out.
Also added a testcase that covers this scenario.
83b8ad0eaa Fixed a serious bug in DeportType where the types could retain DeclContexts that
pointed into the artificial function constructed for the expression.  I now make
anything that pointed to the function as its DeclContext be global while the
copy occurs; afterward I restored the old DeclContext.
Added a testcase that make sure that this works properly and doesn't crash
anything.
9901e9c6c8 Fix resolution of certain recursive types.
Summary:
If a struct type S has a member T that has a member that is a function that
returns a typedef of S* the respective field would be duplicated, which caused
an assert down the line in RecordLayoutBuilder. This patch adds a check that
removes the possibility of trying to resolve the same type twice within the
same callstack.
This commit also adds unit tests for these failures.
Fixes https://llvm.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=20486.
Patch by Cristian Hancila.
Test Plan: Run unit tests.
