[PowerPC] Fix instruction sizes / branch relaxation (#175556)
For PowerPC, having accurate (or at least not too small) instruction
sizes is critical, because the PPCBranchSelector pass relies on them.
Underestimating the size of an instruction can result in the wrong
branch kind being chosen, which will result in an MC error.

This patch introduces validation that the instruction size reported by
TII matches the actually emitted instruction size, and fixes various
cases where this was not the case.

Fixes https://github.com/llvm/llvm-project/issues/175190.

[PowerPC] Add support for AMO store builtins (#170933)
This commit adds 4 Clang builtins for PowerPC AMO store operations:

__builtin_amo_stwat for 32-bit unsigned operations
__builtin_amo_stdat for 64-bit unsigned operations
__builtin_amo_stwat_s for 32-bit signed operations
__builtin_amo_stdat_s for 64-bit signed operations

and maps GCC's AMO store functions to these Clang builtins for

[PowerPC] enable AtomicExpandImpl::expandAtomicCmpXchg for powerpc (#142395)
In PowerPC, the AtomicCmpXchgInst is lowered to
ISD::ATOMIC_CMP_SWAP_WITH_SUCCESS. However, this node does not handle
the weak attribute of AtomicCmpXchgInst. As a result, when compiling C++
atomic_compare_exchange_weak_explicit, the generated assembly includes a
"reservation lost" loop — i.e., it branches back and retries if the
stwcx. (store-conditional) fails. This differs from GCC’s codegen, which
does not include that loop for weak compare-exchange.

Since PowerPC uses LL/SC-style atomic instructions, the patch enables
AtomicExpandImpl::expandAtomicCmpXchg for PowerPC. With this, the weak
attribute is properly respected, and the "reservation lost" loop is
removed for weak operations.

ad9d13d535 SelectionDAG: Swap operands of atomic_store
Irritatingly, atomic_store had operands in the opposite order from

There was a previous incomplete attempt to move atomic_store into the

I think it was a mistake for all atomicrmw to swap the operand order,
so maybe it's better to take this one step further.

d5659808b2 [AIX][TLS] Generate 64-bit local-exec access code sequence
This patch adds support for the TLS local-exec access model on AIX to allow
for the ability to generate the 64-bit (specifically, non-optimized) code sequence.

For this patch in particular, the sequence that is generated involves a load of the
variable offset, followed by an add of the loaded variable offset to r13 (which is
thread pointer, respectively). This code sequence looks like the following:
```
ld reg1,var[TC](2)
add reg2, reg1, r13     // r13 contains the thread pointer
```
The TOC (.tc pseudo-op) entries generated in the assembly files are also
changed where we add the @le relocation for the variable offset.

0be684ed97 [PowerPC] Switch to by-name matching for instructions (part 2 of 2).
This is a follow-on to https://reviews.llvm.org/D134073.

Currently, all of the "memri"-style complex operands, which contain
both a register and an immediate, are encoded into a single field in
the instruction definition. This requires complex encoders/decoders,
and instruction definitions that insert and extract the correct parts
of the bits.

Now, switch to naming and encoding/decoding the sub-operands
separately.

Thus, we can now disable useDeprecatedPositionallyEncodedOperands.

4b43ef3e5c [PowerPC] Switch to by-name matching for instructions (part 1 of 2).
This is a follow-on to https://reviews.llvm.org/D134073.

After https://reviews.llvm.org/D137653 we can now switch the PPC
target away from positional operand matching.

This patch fixes all of the "easy" cases. While this changes a large
number of lines of tablegen source, it results in only a single
non-comment change in the code generated by tablegen: the (unused)
codegen-only "MTVRSAVEv" instruction was previously incorrectly
encoding operand 0, and now encodes (correctly) operand 1.

Changes which result in generated-code changes have been split off
into the next (smaller) patch, for ease of review.

This patch fixes the following two bugs in `PPCInstrInfo::isSignOrZeroExtended` helper, which is used from sign-/zero-extension elimination in PPCMIPeephole pass.
- Registers defined by load with update (e.g. LBZU) were identified as already sign or zero-extended. But it is true only for the first def (loaded value) and not for the second def (i.e. updated pointer).
- Registers defined by ORIS/XORIS were identified as already sign-extended. But, it is not true for sign extension depending on the immediate (while it is ok for zero extension).

To handle the first case, the parameter for the helpers is changed from `MachineInstr` to a register number to distinguish first and second defs. Also, this patch moves the initialization of PPCMIPeepholePass to allow mir test case.

5840f7197d [PowerPC] Respect rounding mode in the back end
Currently, the floating point instructions that depend on
rounding mode are correctly marked in the PPC back end with
an implicit use of the RM register. Similarly, instructions
that explicitly define the register are marked with an
implicit def of the same register. So for the most part,
RM-using code won't be moved across RM-setting instructions.

However, calls are not marked as RM-setting instructions so
code can be moved across calls. This is generally desired,
but so is the ability to turn off this behaviour with an
appropriate option - and -frounding-math really should be
that option.

This patch provides a set of call instructions (for direct
and indirect calls) that are marked with an implicit def of
the RM register. These will be used for calls that are marked
with the strictfp attribute.
