These tests rely on SCEV looking recognizing an "or" with no common
bits as an "add". Add the disjoint flag to relevant or instructions
in preparation for switching SCEV to use the flag instead of the
ValueTracking query. The IR with disjoint flag matches what
InstCombine would produce.
The backstory is that the LCSSA invalidation we perform here is not
really necessary from a SCEV perspective. However, other code may
rely on the fact that invalidating only LCSSA phi nodes is sufficient
for transforms like loop peeling
(see https://reviews.llvm.org/D149331#4398582 for more details).
However, performing invalidation during LCSSA construction also
means that SCEV expansion (which may need to construct LCSSA) can
invalidate SCEV, which is somewhat unexpected and code may not be
prepared to deal with it (see the added test case, reported at
https://reviews.llvm.org/D149435#4428219).
Instead of invalidating SCEV, ensure that the LCSSA phi node also
has cached SCEV if the original instruction did. This means that
later invalidation of LCSSA phi nodes will work as expected. This
should avoid both the above issues and be more efficient.

Move LCSSA fixup from ::expandCodeForImpl to ::expand(). This has
the advantage that we directly preserve LCSSA nodes here instead of
relying on doing so in rememberInstruction. It also ensures that we
don't add the non-LCSSA-safe value to InsertedExpressions.

After replacing a loop phi with the preheader value, it's usually
possible to simplify some of the using instructions, so do that as
part of replaceLoopPHINodesWithPreheaderValues().
Doing this as part of IndVars is valuable, because it may make GEPs
in the loop have constant offsets and allow the following SROA run
to succeed (as demonstrated in the PhaseOrdering test).

Currently we only call replaceLoopPHINodesWithPreheaderValues() if
optimizeLoopExits() replaces the exit with an unconditional exit.
However, it is very common that this already happens as part of
eliminateIVComparison(), in which case we're leaving behind the
dead header phi.
Tweak the early bailout for already-constant exits to also call
replaceLoopPHINodesWithPreheaderValues().

These intrinsics, not the icmp+select are the canonical form nowadays,
so we might as well directly emit them.
This should not cause any regressions, but if it does,
then then they would needed to be fixed regardless.
Note that this doesn't deal with `SCEVExpander::isHighCostExpansion()`,
but that is a pessimization, not a correctness issue.
Additionally, the non-intrinsic form has issues with undef,
see https://reviews.llvm.org/D88287#2587863
As it's causing some bot failures (and per request from kbarton).
This reverts commit r358543/ab70da07286e618016e78247e4a24fcb84077fda.

The patch evaluates the expansion cost of exitValue in indVarSimplify pass, and only does the rewriting when the expansion cost is low or loop can be deleted with the rewriting. It provides an option "-replexitval=" to control the default aggressiveness of the exitvalue rewriting. It also fixes some missing cases in SCEVExpander::isHighCostExpansionHelper to enhance the evaluation of SCEV expansion cost.

because of the inside-out run of LoopSimplify in the LoopPassManager and
the fact that LoopSimplify couldn't be "preserved" across two
independent LoopPassManagers.
Anyways, in that case, IndVars wasn't correctly preserving an LCSSA PHI
node because it thought it was rewriting (via SCEV) the incoming value
to a loop invariant value. While it may well be invariant for the
current loop, it may be rewritten in terms of an enclosing loop's
values. This in and of itself is fine, as the LCSSA PHI node in the
enclosing loop for the inner loop value we're rewriting will have its
own LCSSA PHI node if used outside of the enclosing loop. With me so
far?
Well, the current loop and the enclosing loop may share an exiting
block and exit block, and when they do they also share LCSSA PHI nodes.
In this case, its not valid to RAUW through the LCSSA PHI node.
Expected crazy test included.
