871de4a479 [X86][test] Add explicit dso_local to definitions in ELF static relocation model tests
TargetMachine::shouldAssumeDSOLocal currently implies dso_local for such definitions.

Adding explicit dso_local makes these tests align with the clang -fno-pic behavior
and allow the removal of the TargetMachine::shouldAssumeDSOLocal special case.

961f31d8ad [TargetMachine] Don't imply dso_local on global variable declarations in Reloc::Static model
clang/lib/CodeGen/CodeGenModule sets dso_local on applicable global variables,
we don't need to duplicate the work in TargetMachine:shouldAssumeDSOLocal.
(Actually the long-term goal (started by r324535) is to remove as much
additional implied dso_local in TargetMachine:shouldAssumeDSOLocal as possible.)

By not implying dso_local, we will respect dso_local/dso_preemptable specifiers
set by the frontend. This allows the proposed -fno-direct-access-external-data
option to work with -fno-pic and prevent copy relocations.

This patch should be NFC in terms of the Clang behavior because the case we
don't set dso_local is a case Clang sets dso_local. However, some tests don't
set dso_local on some `external global` and expose some differences. Most tests
have been fixed to be more robust in previous commits.

872c5fb143 [AsmPrinter] Don't generate .Lfoo$local for -fno-PIC and -fPIE
-fno-PIC and -fPIE code generally cannot be linked in -shared mode and there is no benefit accessing via local aliases.

Actually, a .Lfoo$local reference will be converted to a STT_SECTION (if no section relaxation) reference which will cause the section symbol (sizeof(Elf64_Sym)=24) to be generated.

5b22bcc2b7 [X86][ELF] Prefer to lower MC_GlobalAddress operands to .Lfoo$local
For a MC_GlobalAddress reference to a dso_local external GlobalValue with a definition, emit .Lfoo$local to avoid a relocation.

-fno-pic and -fpie can infer dso_local but -fpic cannot. In the future,
we can explore the possibility of inferring dso_local with -fpic. As the
description of D73228 says, LLVM's existing IPO optimization behaviors
(like -fno-semantic-interposition) and a previous assembly behavior give
us enough license to be aggressive here.

8903e61b66 [AsmPrinter][ELF] Define local aliases (.Lfoo$local) for GlobalObjects
For `MC_GlobalAddress` operands referencing **certain** GlobalObjects,
we can lower them to STB_LOCAL aliases to avoid costs brought by
assembler/linker's conservative decisions about symbol interposition:

* An assembler conservatively assumes a global default visibility symbol interposable (ELF
  semantics). So relocations in object files are needed even if the code generator assumed
  the definition exact and non-interposable.
* The relocations can cause the creation of PLT entries on some targets for -shared links.
  A linker conservatively assumes a global default visibility symbol interposable (if not
  otherwise constrained by -Bsymbolic/--dynamic-list/VER_NDX_LOCAL/etc).

"certain" refers to GlobalObjects in the intersection of
`hasExactDefinition() and !isInterposable()`: `external`, `appending`, `internal`, `private`.
Local linkages (`internal` and `private`) cannot be interposed. `appending` is for very
few objects LLVM interpret specially. So the set just includes `external`.

This patch emits STB_LOCAL aliases (.Lfoo$local) for such GlobalObjects, so that targets can lower
MC_GlobalAddress operands to STB_LOCAL aliases if applicable.
We may extend the scope and include GlobalAlias in the future.

LLVM's existing -fno-semantic-interposition behaviors give us license to do such optimizations:

* Various optimizations (ipconstprop, inliner, sccp, sroa, etc) treat normal ExternalLinkage
  GlobalObjects as non-interposable.
* Before D72197, MC resolved a PC-relative VK_None fixup to a non-local symbol at assembly time (no
  outstanding relocation), if the target is defined in the same section. Put it simply, even if IR
  optimizations failed to optimize and allowed interposition for the function call in
  `void foo() {} void bar() { foo(); }`, the assembler would disallow it.

This patch sets up AsmPrinter infrastructure to make -fno-semantic-interposition more so.
With and without the patch, the object file output should be identical:
`.Lfoo$local` does not take a symbol table entry.

e2bfcd6394 Correct dwarf unwind information in function epilogue
This patch aims to provide correct dwarf unwind information in function
epilogue for X86.
It consists of two parts. The first part inserts CFI instructions that set
appropriate cfa offset and cfa register in emitEpilogue() in
X86FrameLowering. This part is X86 specific.

The second part is platform independent and ensures that:

* CFI instructions do not affect code generation (they are not counted as
  instructions when tail duplicating or tail merging)
* Unwind information remains correct when a function is modified by
  different passes. This is done in a late pass by analyzing information
  about cfa offset and cfa register in BBs and inserting additional CFI
  directives where necessary.

Added CFIInstrInserter pass:

* analyzes each basic block to determine cfa offset and register are valid
  at its entry and exit
* verifies that outgoing cfa offset and register of predecessor blocks match
  incoming values of their successors
* inserts additional CFI directives at basic block beginning to correct the
  rule for calculating CFA

Having CFI instructions in function epilogue can cause incorrect CFA
calculation rule for some basic blocks. This can happen if, due to basic
block reordering, or the existence of multiple epilogue blocks, some of the
blocks have wrong cfa offset and register values set by the epilogue block
above them.
CFIInstrInserter is currently run only on X86, but can be used by any target
that implements support for adding CFI instructions in epilogue.

9f9e4681ac [TLS] use emulated TLS if the target supports only this mode
Emulated TLS is enabled by llc flag -emulated-tls,
which is passed by clang driver.
When llc is called explicitly or from other drivers like LTO,
missing -emulated-tls flag would generate wrong TLS code for targets
that supports only this mode.
Now use useEmulatedTLS() instead of Options.EmulatedTLS to decide whether
emulated TLS code should be generated.
Unit tests are modified to run with and without the -emulated-tls flag.

7adb2fdbba Revert "Correct dwarf unwind information in function epilogue for X86"
This reverts r317579, originally committed as r317100.

There is a design issue with marking CFI instructions duplicatable. Not
all targets support the CFIInstrInserter pass, and targets like Darwin
can't cope with duplicated prologue setup CFI instructions. The compact
unwind info emission fails.

When the following code is compiled for arm64 on Mac at -O3, the CFI
instructions end up getting tail duplicated, which causes compact unwind
info emission to fail:
  int a, c, d, e, f, g, h, i, j, k, l, m;
  void n(int o, int *b) {
    if (g)
      f = 0;
    for (; f < o; f++) {
      m = a;
      if (l > j * k > i)
        j = i = k = d;
      h = b[c] - e;
    }
  }

We get assembly that looks like this:
; BB#1:                                 ; %if.then

can't handle that.

e2a585dddc Reland "Correct dwarf unwind information in function epilogue for X86"
Reland r317100 with minor fix regarding ComputeCommonTailLength function in
BranchFolding.cpp. Skipping top CFI instructions block needs to executed on
several more return points in ComputeCommonTailLength().

Original r317100 message:

"Correct dwarf unwind information in function epilogue for X86"

This patch aims to provide correct dwarf unwind information in function
epilogue for X86.

It consists of two parts. The first part inserts CFI instructions that set
appropriate cfa offset and cfa register in emitEpilogue() in
X86FrameLowering. This part is X86 specific.

The second part is platform independent and ensures that:

- CFI instructions do not affect code generation
- Unwind information remains correct when a function is modified by
  different passes. This is done in a late pass by analyzing information
  about cfa offset and cfa register in BBs and inserting additional CFI
  directives where necessary.

Changed CFI instructions so that they:

- are duplicable
- are not counted as instructions when tail duplicating or tail merging
- can be compared as equal

Added CFIInstrInserter pass:

- analyzes each basic block to determine cfa offset and register valid at
  its entry and exit
- verifies that outgoing cfa offset and register of predecessor blocks match
  incoming values of their successors
- inserts additional CFI directives at basic block beginning to correct the
  rule for calculating CFA

Having CFI instructions in function epilogue can cause incorrect CFA
calculation rule for some basic blocks. This can happen if, due to basic
block reordering, or the existence of multiple epilogue blocks, some of the
blocks have wrong cfa offset and register values set by the epilogue block
above them.

CFIInstrInserter is currently run only on X86, but can be used by any target
that implements support for adding CFI instructions in epilogue.

6b898beb8e X86: Do not use llc -march in tests.
`llc -march` is problematic because it only switches the target
architecture, but leaves the operating system unchanged. This
occasionally leads to indeterministic tests because the OS from
LLVM_DEFAULT_TARGET_TRIPLE is used.

However we can simply always use `llc -mtriple` instead. This changes
all the tests to do this to avoid people using -march when they copy and
paste parts of tests.

7b3a38ec30 [X86] Correct dwarf unwind information in function epilogue
CFI instructions that set appropriate cfa offset and cfa register are now
inserted in emitEpilogue() in X86FrameLowering.

Majority of the changes in this patch:

1. Ensure that CFI instructions do not affect code generation.
2. Enable maintaining correct information about cfa offset and cfa register
in a function when basic blocks are reordered, merged, split, duplicated.

These changes are target independent and described below.

Changed CFI instructions so that they:

1. are duplicable
2. are not counted as instructions when tail duplicating or tail merging
3. can be compared as equal

Add information to each MachineBasicBlock about cfa offset and cfa register
that are valid at its entry and exit (incoming and outgoing CFI info). Add
support for updating this information when basic blocks are merged, split,
duplicated, created. Add a verification pass (CFIInfoVerifier) that checks
that outgoing cfa offset and register of predecessor blocks match incoming
values of their successors.

Incoming and outgoing CFI information is used by a late pass
(CFIInstrInserter) that corrects CFA calculation rule for a basic block if
needed. That means that additional CFI instructions get inserted at basic
block beginning to correct the rule for calculating CFA. Having CFI
instructions in function epilogue can cause incorrect CFA calculation rule
for some basic blocks. This can happen if, due to basic block reordering,
or the existence of multiple epilogue blocks, some of the blocks have wrong
cfa offset and register values set by the epilogue block above them.
