I had manually removed unused prefixes from CodeGen/X86 directory for more than 100 tests.
I checked the change history for each of them at the beginning, and then I mainly focused on the format since I found all of the unused prefixes were result from either insensible copy or residuum after functional update.
I think it's OK to remove the remaining X86 tests by script now. I wrote a rough script which works for me in most tests. I put it in llvm/utils temporarily for review and hope it may help other components owners.
The tests in this patch are all generated by the tool and checked by update tool for the autogenerated tests. I skimmed them and checked about 30 tests and didn't find any unexpected changes.

As detailed in PR43971/D70267, the use of XFormVExtractWithShuffleIntoLoad causes issues where we end up in infinite loops of extract(targetshuffle(vecload)) -> extract(shuffle(vecload)) -> extract(vecload) -> extract(targetshuffle(vecload)), there are just too many legalization checks at every stage that we can't guarantee that extract(shuffle(vecload)) -> scalarload can occur.
At the moment we see a number of minor regressions as we don't fold extract(shuffle(vecload)) -> scalarload before legal ops, these can be addressed in future patches and extension of X86ISelLowering's combineExtractWithShuffle.
If the target shuffle mask is from a wider type, attempt to scale the mask so that the extraction can attempt to peek through.
Fixes the regression mentioned in rL368662

If we don't demand all elements, then attempt to combine to a simpler shuffle.
At the moment we can only do this if Depth == 0 as combineX86ShufflesRecursively uses Depth to track whether the shuffle has really changed or not - we'll need to change this before we can properly start merging combineX86ShufflesRecursively into SimplifyDemandedVectorElts.
The insertps-combine.ll regression is because XFormVExtractWithShuffleIntoLoad can't see through shuffles of different widths - this will be fixed in a follow-up commit.

When we are inserting 1 "inline" element, and zeroing 2 of the other elements then we can safely commute the insertps source inputs to improve memory folding.

This is a retry of rL349051 (reverted at rL349056). I changed the check for dead-ness from

This patch adds an initial x86 SimplifyDemandedVectorEltsForTargetNode implementation to handle target shuffles.
Currently the patch only decodes a target shuffle, calls SimplifyDemandedVectorElts on its input operands and removes any shuffle that reduces to undef/zero/identity.
Future work will need to integrate this with combineX86ShufflesRecursively, add support for other x86 ops, etc.
NOTE: There is a minor regression that appears to be affecting further (extractelement?) combines which I haven't been able to solve yet - possibly something to do with how nodes are added to the worklist after simplification.

Includes adding more general support for the pattern: VZEXT_MOVL(VZEXT_LOAD(ptr)) -> VZEXT_LOAD(ptr)
This has unearthed a couple of latent poor codegen issues (MINSS/MAXSS scalar load folding and MOVDDUP/BROADCAST load folding patterns), which will be fixed shortly.
Its also reduced a couple of tests so that they no longer reach the instruction threshold necessary to be combined to PSHUFB (see PR26183).
