6b4ac76504 Reland "[lldb][test] Only add -m(64|32) for GCC on non Arm/AArch64 platforms"
This reverts commit fd5206cc55c820598d5145d799b18d66cc193356.

Fixing the test case would require some awkard %if use that I'm not
sure would even work, or splitting it into 2 copies that are almost
identical.

Instead, always add -m for clang, which allows it for all targets,
but not for gcc which does not.

This reverts commit 7c3603e1c162382b5c038b99e482e0689e1505aa.

Turns out when you ask for "clang" it also uses the GCC Builder class,
so I need to update some tests.

7c3603e1c1 [lldb][test] Only add -m(64|32) for GCC on non Arm/AArch64 platforms
This option is definitely needed for x86_64, and is valid for PowerPC
and s390x too.

I'm using "in" because on Armv8 Linux the uname is actually "armv8l"
not just "arm".

b22965df13 [lldb] Pass CMAKE_SYSROOT through to LLDB shell tests
This allows the LLDB Shell tests to succeed in (e.g. CI) environments where
system libraries are provided hermetically as a sysroot.

[NFC][Py Reformat] Reformat python files in lldb
This is an ongoing series of commits that are reformatting our Python
code. Reformatting is done with `black` (23.1.0).

If you end up having problems merging this commit because you have made
changes to a python file, the best way to handle that is to run `git
checkout --ours <yourfile>` and then reformat it with black.

4241ac542d [lldb][gnustep] Add basic test and infrastructure for GNUstep ObjC runtime
This patch adds test infrastructure to utilize the GNUstep runtime in the LLDB test suite and adds coverage for features that already work on Linux. These seem accidental in parts, but it's a good early baseline. On Windows nothing works yet. Please find the repository for the GNUstep ObjC runtime here: https://github.com/gnustep/libobjc2

GNUstep support is disabled by default. CMake configuration involves two variables:
* `LLDB_TEST_OBJC_GNUSTEP=On` enables GNUstep support in the test suite. It requires the libobjc2 shared library and headers to be found.
* `LLDB_TEST_OBJC_GNUSTEP=Off` disables GNUstep support in the test suite and resets associated cache values if necessary (default).
* `LLDB_TEST_OBJC_GNUSTEP_DIR` allows to pass a custom installation root.

0803241130 [lldb] Enable TestFrameFormatNameWithArgs in case of cross compilation
TestFrameFormatNameWithArgs.test is enabled only in case of native
compilation but is applicable in case of cross compilation too. So,
provision support for enabling it in case of both, native and cross
compilation.

0e6a71e6a3 [LLDB] Make build.py use uname to set platform
This patch makes build helper script build.py to use platform.uname for
machine/architecture detection. Visual studio environment when set using
various batch files like vcvars*.bat set PLATFORM environment variable
however VsDevCmd.bat does not set PLATFORM variable.

cacaa445c3 Reland "[lldb] Use shutil.which in Shell tests find_executable"
This reverts commit d9247cc84825539d346c74eb1379c6cb948d3a71.

With the Windows tests updated to expect .EXE suffixes. This changed
because shutil.which uses PATHEXT which will contain, amongst others,
"EXE".

Also I noticed the "." in ".exe" was the wildcard dot not literal
dot so I've escaped those.

713752610e [lldb] Use shutil.which in Shell tests find_executable
In build.py we have our own find_executable that looks
a lot like the distutils one that I switched to shutil.which.

This find_executable isn't quite the same as shutil.which
so I've refactored it to call that in the correct way.

Note that the path passed to shutil.which is in the form that
PATH would be, meaning separators are allowed.
```
>>> shutil.which("gcc", path="/home/david.spickett:/bin")
'/bin/gcc'
```

We just need to make sure it doesn't ignore the existing PATH
and normalise the result if it does find the binary.

The .exe extension is automatically added to the binary name
if we are on Windows.

cbd215dfe5 [LIT] Add win32 PLATFORM env var to test config
LIT skips various system environment variables while building test
config. It turns out that we require PLATFORM environment variable for
detection of x86 vs Arm windows platform.

This patch adds system environment variable PLATFORM into LIT test
config for detection of win32 Arm platform.

c9f251aa6f [lldb/build.py] Always pass an SDK to the compiler on Darwin
On macOS 11, system libraries which are part of the shared cache
are not present on the filesystem anymore. This causes issues
with build.py, because it fails to link binaries with libSystem
or libc++.

The real issue is that build.py was not passing an SDK to the
compiler. The script accepts an argument for the SDK, but it
is currently unused. This patch just threads the SDK through
to the compile and link steps and this fixes a bunch of Shell
test failures on very recent macOS builds.

87aa9c9e4d Re-land "[test] Split LLDB tests into API, Shell & Unit"
The original patch got reverted because it broke `check-lldb` on a clean
build. This fixes that.

22314179f0 [test] Split LLDB tests into API, Shell & Unit
LLDB has three major testing strategies: unit tests, tests that exercise
the SB API though dotest.py and what we currently call lit tests. The
later is rather confusing as we're now using lit as the driver for all
three types of tests. As most of this grew organically, the directory
structure in the LLDB repository doesn't really make this clear.

The 'lit' tests are part of the root and among these tests there's a
Unit and Suite folder for the unit and dotest-tests. This layout makes
it impossible to run just the lit tests.

This patch changes the directory layout to match the 3 testing
strategies, each with their own directory and their own configuration
file. This means there are now 3 directories under lit with 3
corresponding targets:

 - API (check-lldb-api): Test exercising the SB API.
 - Shell (check-lldb-shell): Test exercising command line utilities.
 - Unit (check-lldb-unit): Unit tests.

Finally, there's still the `check-lldb` target that runs all three test
suites.

Finally, this also renames the lit folder to `test` to match the LLVM
repository layout.
