21d7c3bcc6 [DAG] try to convert multiply to shift via demanded bits
This is a fix for a regression discussed in:
https://github.com/llvm/llvm-project/issues/53829

We cleared more high multiplier bits with 995d400,
but that can lead to worse codegen because we would fail
to recognize the now disguised multiplication by neg-power-of-2
as a shift-left. The problem exists independently of the IR
change in the case that the multiply already had cleared high
bits. We also convert shl+sub into mul+add in instcombine's
negator.

This patch fills in the high-bits to see the shift transform
opportunity. Alive2 attempt to show correctness:

The AArch64, RISCV, and MIPS diffs look like clear wins. The
x86 code requires an extra move register in the minimal examples,
but it's still an improvement to get rid of the multiply on all
CPUs that I am aware of (because multiply is never as fast as a
shift).

There's a potential follow-up noted by the TODO comment. We
should already convert that pattern into shl+add in IR, so
it's probably not common:

8def89b5dc [RISCV] Set CostPerUse to 1 iff RVC is enabled
After D86836, we can define multiple cost values for
different cost models. So here we set CostPerUse to
1 iff RVC is enabled to avoid potential impact on RA.

137d3474ca [RISCV] Reverse the order of loading/storing callee-saved registers.
Currently, we restore the return address register as the last restoring
instruction in the epilog. The next instruction is `ret` usually. It is
a use of return address register. In some microarchitectures, there is
load-to-use data hazard. To avoid the load-to-use data hazard, we could
separate the load instruction from its use as far as possible. In this
patch, we reverse the order of restoring callee-saved registers to
increase the distance of `load ra` and `ret` in the epilog.

af0ecfccae [RISCV] Generate pseudo instruction li
Add an alias of `addi [x], zero, imm` to generate pseudo
instruction li, which makes assembly mush more readable.
For existed tests, users can update them by running script
`llvm/utils/update_llc_test_checks.py`.

e9b3f25730 [RISCVISelLowering] avoid emitting libcalls to __mulodi4() and __multi3()
Similar to D108842, D108844, D108926, D108928, and D108936.

__has_builtin(builtin_mul_overflow) returns true for 32b RISCV targets,
but Clang is deferring to compiler RT when encountering long long types.

If the semantics of __has_builtin mean "the compiler resolves these,
always" then we shouldn't conditionally emit a libcall.

1b9417454e [RISCV] Insert a sext_inreg when type legalizing i32 shl by constant on RV64.
Similar to what we do for add/sub/mul.

This can help remove some sext.w. There are some regressions on
some bswap tests, but I have an idea how to fix that for a follow up.

A new PACKW pattern is added to handle the new sext_inreg placement.

6d7ea597ef [RISCV] Insert sext_inreg when type legalizing add/sub/mul with constant LHS.
We already do this for non-constants RHS. This just removes the
special case. I believe the special case may have been needed
because the ANY_EXTEND of a constant used to create zero extended
constants, but we recently changed that to produce sign extended
constants.

D107658 is needed to prevent some regressions.

d9ba1a9c5c [RISCV] Teach isel to select ADDW/SUBW/MULW/SLLIW when only the lower 32-bits are used.
We normally select these when the root node is a sext_inreg, but
SimplifyDemandedBits can sometimes bypass the sext_inreg for some
users. This can create situation where sext_inreg+add/sub/mul/shl
is selected to a W instruction, and then the add/sub/mul/shl is
separately selected to a non-W instruction with the same inputs.

This patch tries to detect when it would still be ok to use a W
instruction without the sext_inreg by checking the direct users.
This can allow the W instruction to CSE with one created for a
sext_inreg+add/sub/mul/shl. To minimize complexity and cost of
checking, we make no attempt to determine if the CSE will happen
and just always use a W instruction when we can.

b7c2e577cc [RISCV] Add custom type legalization to form MULHSU when possible.
There's no target independent ISD opcode for MULHSU, so custom
legalize 2*XLen multiplies ourselves. We have to be a little
careful to prefer MULHU or MULHSU.

I thought about doing this in isel by pattern matching the
(add (mul X, (srai Y, XLen-1)), (mulhu X, Y)) pattern. I decided
against this because the add might become part of a chain of adds.
I don't trust DAG combine not to reassociate with other adds making
it difficult to find both pieces again.

55f0a1b066 [RISCV] Optimize multiplication with constant
1. Break MUL with specific constant to a SLLI and an ADD/SUB on riscv32
   with the M extension.
2. Break MUL with specific constant to two SLLI and an ADD/SUB, if the
   constant needs a pair of LUI/ADDI to construct.

61aa940074 [RISCV] Introduce codegen patterns for RV64M-only instructions
As discussed on llvm-dev
<http://lists.llvm.org/pipermail/llvm-dev/2018-December/128497.html>, we have
to be careful when trying to select the *w RV64M instructions. i32 is not a
legal type for RV64 in the RISC-V backend, so operations have been promoted by
the time they reach instruction selection. Information about whether the
operation was originally a 32-bit operations has been lost, and it's easy to
write incorrect patterns.

Similarly to the variable 32-bit shifts, a DAG combine on ANY_EXTEND will
produce a SIGN_EXTEND if this is likely to result in sdiv/udiv/urem being
selected (and so save instructions to sext/zext the input operands).

59136ffab1 [RISCV] Enable emission of alias instructions by default
This patch switches the default for -riscv-no-aliases to false
and updates all affected MC and CodeGen tests. As recommended in
D41071, MC tests use the canonical instructions and the CodeGen
tests use the aliases.

Additionally, for the f and d instructions with rounding mode,
the tests for the aliased versions are moved and tightened such
that they can actually detect if alias emission is enabled.

660bcceccf [RISCV] Support lowering FrameIndex
Introduces the AddrFI "addressing mode", which is necessary simply because 
it's not possible to write a pattern that directly matches a frameindex.

Ensure callee-saved registers are accessed relative to the stackpointer. This
is necessary as callee-saved register spills are performed before the frame
pointer is set.

Move HexagonDAGToDAGISel::isOrEquivalentToAdd to SelectionDAGISel, so we can 
make use of it in the RISC-V backend.

ffc435e9c7 [RISCV] Support and tests for a variety of additional LLVM IR constructs
Previous patches primarily ensured that codegen was possible for the standard
RISC-V instructions. However, there are a number of IR inputs that wouldn't be
appropriately lowered. This patch both adds test cases and supports lowering
for a number of these cases:
* Improved sext/zext/trunc support
* Support for setcc variants that don't map directly to RISC-V instructions
* Lowering mul, and hence support for external symbols
* addc, adde, subc, sube
* mulhs, srem, mulhu, urem, udiv, sdiv
