1376301c87 [InstCombine] Canonicalize range test idiom
InstCombine converts range tests of the form (X > C1 && X < C2) or
(X < C1 || X > C2) into checks of the form (X + C3 < C4) or
(X + C3 > C4). It is possible to express all range tests in either
of these forms (with different choices of constants), but currently
neither of them is considered canonical. We may have equivalent
range tests using either ult or ugt.

This proposes to canonicalize all range tests to use ult. An
alternative would be to canonicalize to either ult or ugt depending
on the specific constants involved -- e.g. in practice we currently
generate ult for && style ranges and ugt for || style ranges when
going through the insertRangeTest() helper. In fact, the "clamp like"
fold was relying on this, which is why I had to tweak it to not
assume whether inversion is needed based on just the predicate.

403810557b [InstCombine] Sink pure instructions down to return and unreachable blocks
If the only user of `Instr` is in a return or unreachable block, we can
sink `Instr` to the`User` safely (unless it reads/writes memory).
Return or unreachable blocks are guaranteed to execute zero
or one time, and `Instr` always dominates `User`, so they either will
be executed together (execution of `User` always implies execution
of `Instr`) or not executed at all.

b6c5914308 [InstCombine][CodeGenPrep] Create llvm.uadd.with.overflow in CGP.
Summary:
This change moves creating calls to `llvm.uadd.with.overflow` from
InstCombine to CodeGenPrep.  Combining overflow check patterns into
calls to the said intrinsic in InstCombine inhibits optimization because
it introduces an intrinsic call that not all other transforms and
analyses understand.

Depends on D8888.

5e0c0c72e9 recognize an unsigned add with overflow idiom into uadd.
This resolves a README entry and technically resolves PR4916,
but we still get poor code for the testcase in that PR because
GVN isn't CSE'ing uadd with add, filed as PR8817.

Previously we got:

Now we get:

79874566ce generalize the sadd creation code to not require that the
sadd formed is half the size of the original type. We can
now compile this into a sadd.i8:

c56c845377 fix another miscompile in the llvm.sadd formation logic: it wasn't
checking to see if the high bits of the original add result were dead.
Inserting a smaller add and zexting back to that size is not good enough.

This is likely to be the fix for 8816.

1294ea7d53 Reapply r121905 (automatic synthesis of @llvm.sadd.with.overflow) with a fix for a bug that manifested itself
on the DragonEgg self-host bot.  Unfortunately, the testcase is pretty messy and doesn't reduce well due to
interactions with other parts of InstCombine.

(performing the addition in a wider type and explicitly checking for overflow), and
fold them down to intrinsics.  This currently only supports signed-addition, but could
be generalized if someone works out the magic constant formulas for other operations.
