- Changed `DXILTranslateMetadata::translateMetadata()` to consume DXIL
Metadata Analysis information. Subsumed into `DXILTranslateMetedata.cpp`
the functionality in `DXILMetadata.*` files - that are hence deleted.
- Changed `DXILPrepare` pass to consume DXIL Metadata Analysis
information.
- Renamed `ModuleMetadataInfo::ShaderStage` to
`ModuleMetadataInfo::ShaderProfile` to better convey what it represents.
- Updated `unknown` target shader stage specification in triples of a
couple of tests.
- Added new tests for additional verification of `DXILTranslateMetadata`
pass functionality.
Use DXILResourceWrapperPass to build the resource table.
Since DXILResourceWrapperPass operates on LLVM intrinsics rather than
DXIL operations, add addPreserved for DXILResourceWrapperPass in the
passes before DXContainerGlobals
Fixes#103275
Replace the hardcoded values for compute shader in
DXContainer::addPipelineStateValidationInfo.
Still missing wave size.
Add preserved for previous passes so the information is not lost.
Fix https://github.com/llvm/wg-hlsl/issues/51
These passes will be replaced soon as we move to the target extension based
resource handling in the DirectX backend, but removing them now before the
replacement stuff is all up and running would be very disruptive. However, we
do need to move these passes out of the way to avoid symbol conflicts with the
new DXILResourceAnalysis in the Analysis library.
Note: I tried an even simpler hack in #100698 but it doesn't really work. A
rename is the most expedient path forward here.

For DXIL which is based on llvm 3.7, max supported behavior flag for
module flags is 6.
The commit will check all module flags, for behavior flag > 6, change it
to 2 (Warning).
This is to fix the behavior flag part for #96912.
Remove string function attribute other than
"waveops-include-helper-lanes" and "fp32-denorm-mode".
Move DXILPrepareModulePass after DXILTranslateMetadataPass since
DXILTranslateMetadataPass needs to use attribute like hlsl.numthreads.
Fixes#90773
When emit NoOp bitcast for GEP Ptr Operand, should use SourceElementType
instead of ResultElementType.
**Behavior Before Change**
Redundant bitcast like
` bitcast ptr addrspace(3) @gs to ptr addrspace(3)`
will be generated for llvm/test/CodeGen/DirectX/typed_ptr.ll
**Behavior After Change**
No bitcast will be generated.

Move `AttributeMask` out of `llvm/IR/Attributes.h` to a new file
`llvm/IR/AttributeMask.h`. After doing this we can remove the
`#include <bitset>` and `#include <set>` directives from `Attributes.h`.
Since there are many headers including `Attributes.h`, but not needing
the definition of `AttributeMask`, this causes unnecessary bloating of
the translation units and slows down compilation.
This commit adds in the include directive for `llvm/IR/AttributeMask.h`
to the handful of source files that need to see the definition.
This reduces the total number of preprocessing tokens across the LLVM
source files in lib from (roughly) 1,917,509,187 to 1,902,982,273 - a
reduction of ~0.76%. This should result in a small improvement in
compilation time.

I just tried to build all experimental targets and noticed that DirectX did
not build with -DBUILD_SHARED_LIBS=ON.

Using the pointer type analysis we can re-constitute typed pointers and
populate the correct types in the bitcasts throughout the IR.
This doesn't yet handle all cases, but this should be illustrative as
to the dirction and feasability of
the solution.

In supporting opaque pointers we need to re-materialize typed pointers
in bitcode emission. Because of how the value-enumerator pre-allocates
types and instructions we need to insert some no-op bitcasts in the
places that we'll need bitcasts for the pointer types.

The DXIL Prepare pass handles the IR mutations required to convert
modern LLVM IR into something that more closely resembles LLVM-3.7 IR
so that the DXIL bitcode writer can emit 3.7 IR.
This change adds the codegen pass handling the first two IR
transformations:
* stripping new function attributes
* converting fneg into fsub
