[MS][clang] Fix crash on deletion of array of pointers (#134088)
Sometimes a non-array delete is treated as delete[] when input pointer
is pointer to array. With vector deleting destructors support we now
generate a virtual destructor call instead of simple loop over the
elements. This patch adjusts the codepath that generates virtual call to
expect the case of pointer to array.

[AMDGPU] Use a target feature to enable __builtin_amdgcn_global_load_lds on gfx9/10 (#133055)
This patch introduces the `vmem-to-lds-load-insts` target feature, which
can be used to enable builtins `__builtin_amdgcn_global_load_lds` and
`__builtin_amdgcn_raw_ptr_buffer_load_lds` on platforms which have this
feature.

This feature is only available on gfx9/10.

A limitation of using a common target feature for both builtins is that
we could have made `__builtin_amdgcn_raw_ptr_buffer_load_lds` available
on gfx6,7,8.

During additional testing I spotted that vector deleting dtor calls
operator delete, not operator delete[] when performing array deletion.
This patch fixes that.

[clang][CodeGen] Make pragma-loop test more rboust (NFC) (#133707)
pragma-loop.cpp contains tests for loop metadata generated by pragma
directives. These tests didn't work as (perhaps) expected. This is
because the regex `.*` consumes multiple elements in the metadata. For
example, there was a check directive like this.

```
// CHECK: ![[LOOP_9]] = distinct !{![[LOOP_9]], ![[WIDTH_8:.*]], ![[FIXED_VEC]], ...}
```

In the above case, `[[WIDTH_8]]` would have been expected to match a
node like `[[WIDTH_8]] = !{!"llvm.loop.vectorize.width", i32 8}`.
However, since there is no check directive to verify the contents of
`[[WIDTH_8]]`, the regex `.*` consumed more than one element. There were
other similar cases.

This patch fixes the problem by not using regex matcher in the metadata
content (except for follow-up metadata). Instead, it uses string
variables whose contents are validated elsewhere.

Reland [MS][clang] Add support for vector deleting destructors (#133451)
Whereas it is UB in terms of the standard to delete an array of objects
via pointer whose static type doesn't match its dynamic type, MSVC
supports an extension allowing to do it.
Aside from array deletion not working correctly in the mentioned case,
currently not having this extension implemented causes clang to generate
code that is not compatible with the code generated by MSVC, because
clang always puts scalar deleting destructor to the vftable. This PR
aims to resolve these problems.

It was reverted due to link time errors in chromium with sanitizer
coverage enabled,
which is fixed by https://github.com/llvm/llvm-project/pull/131929 .

The second commit of this PR also contains a fix for a runtime failure
in chromium reported
in
https://github.com/llvm/llvm-project/pull/126240#issuecomment-2730216384
.

[Clang][AMDGPU] Remove special handling for COV4 libraries (#132870)
Summary:
When we were first porting to COV5, this lead to some ABI issues due to
a change in how we looked up the work group size. Bitcode libraries
relied on the builtins to emit code, but this was changed between
versions. This prevented the bitcode libraries, like OpenMP or libc,
from being used for both COV4 and COV5. The solution was to have this
'none' functionality which effectively emitted code that branched off of
a global to resolve to either version.

This isn't a great solution because it forced every TU to have this
variable in it. The patch in
https://github.com/llvm/llvm-project/pull/131033 removed support for
COV4 from OpenMP, which was the only consumer of this functionality.
Other users like HIP and OpenCL did not use this because they linked the
ROCm Device Library directly which has its own handling (The name was
borrowed from it after all).

So, now that we don't need to worry about backward compatibility with
COV4, we can remove this special handling. Users can still emit COV4
code, this simply removes the special handling used to make the OpenMP
device runtime bitcode version agnostic.

[clang][CodeGen] Generate follow-up metadata for loops in correct format (#131985)
When pragma of loop transformations is specified, follow-up metadata for
loops is generated after each transformation. On the LLVM side,
follow-up metadata is expected to be a list of properties, such as the
following:

!mp = !{!"llvm.loop.mustprogress"}
!isvectorized = !{"llvm.loop.isvectorized"}
```

However, on the clang side, the generated metadata contains an MDNode
that has those properties, as shown below:

the LLVM side is correct. Due to this inconsistency, follow-up metadata
was not interpreted correctly, e.g., only one transformation is applied
when multiple pragmas are used.

This patch fixes clang side to emit followup metadata in correct format.

[Clang] Introduce a trait to determine the structure binding size (#131515)
Introduce a trait to determine the number of bindings that would be
produced by

```cpp

   auto [...p] = expr;

```

This is necessary to implement P2300
(https://eel.is/c++draft/exec#snd.concepts-5), but can also be used to
implement a general get<N> function that supports aggregates

`__builtin_structured_binding_size` is a unary type trait that evaluates
to the number of bindings in a decomposition

If the argument cannot be decomposed, a sfinae-friendly error is
produced.

A type is considered a valid tuple if `std::tuple_size_v<T>` is a valid
expression, even if there is no valid `std::tuple_element`
specialization or suitable `get` function for that type.

[clang] Reject constexpr-unknown values as constant expressions more consistently (#129952)
Perform the check for constexpr-unknown values in the same place we
perform checks for other values which don't count as constant
expressions.

While I'm here, also fix a rejects-valid with a reference that doesn't
have an initializer. This diagnostic was also covering up some of the
bugs here.

The existing behavior with -fexperimental-new-constant-interpreter seems
to be correct, but the diagnostics are slightly different; it would be
helpful if someone could check on that as a followup.

[clang][bytecode] Implement __builtin_constant_p (#130143)
Use the regular code paths for interpreting.

Add new instructions: `StartSpeculation` will reset the diagnostics
pointers to `nullptr`, which will keep us from reporting any diagnostics
during speculation. `EndSpeculation` will undo this.

The rest depends on what `Emitter` we use.

For `EvalEmitter`, we have no bytecode, so we implement `speculate()` by
simply visiting the first argument of `__builtin_constant_p`. If the
evaluation fails, we push a `0` on the stack, otherwise a `1`.

For `ByteCodeEmitter`, add another instrucion called `BCP`, that
interprets all the instructions following it until the next
`EndSpeculation` instruction. If any of those instructions fails, we
jump to the `EndLabel`, which brings us right before the
`EndSpeculation`. We then push the result on the stack.

[WebAssembly] Rename functions in wasm-eh.cpp (#130220)
I think it is generally better for tests have some descriptive function
names so that we can insert new tests in the middle and don't have to
renumber all tests.

Also recently I added a (named) test to this file in #129020 so I think
it's consistent for other tests to be named.

[Clang] Don't give up on an unsuccessful function instantiation (#126723)
For constexpr function templates, we immediately instantiate them upon
reference. However, if the function isn't defined at the time of
instantiation, even though it might be defined later, the instantiation
would forever fail.

This patch corrects the behavior by popping up failed instantiations
through PendingInstantiations, so that we are able to instantiate them
again in the future (e.g. at the end of TU.)

[CodeGen] Ensure relative vtables use llvm.type.checked.load.relative (#126785)
This intrinsic is used when whole program vtables is used in conjunction
with either CFI or virtual function elimination. The
`llvm.type.checked.load` is unconditionally used, but we need to use the
relative intrinsic for WPD and CFI to work correctly.

[WebAssembly] Generate __clang_call_terminate for Emscripten EH (#129020)
When an exception thrown ends up calling `std::terminate`, for example,
because an exception is thrown within a `noexcept` function or an
exception is thrown from `__cxa_end_catch` during handling the previous
exception, the libc++abi spec says we are supposed to call
`__cxa_begin_catch` before `std::terminate`:

> When the personality routine encounters a termination condition, it
will call `__cxa_begin_catch()` to mark the exception as handled and
then call `terminate()`, which shall not return to its caller.

The default Itanium ABI generates a call to `__clang_call_terminate()`,
which is a function that calls `__cxa_begin_catch` and then
`std::terminate`:

But we replaced this with just a call to `std::terminate` in
561abd83ff
because this caused some tricky transformation problems for Wasm EH. The
detailed explanation why is in the commit description, but the summary
is for Wasm EH it needed a `try` with both `catch` and `catch_all` and
it was tricky to deal with.

But that commit replaced `__clang_call_terminate` with `std::terminate`
for all Wasm programs and not only the ones that use Wasm EH. So
Emscripten EH was also affected by that commit. Emscripten EH is not
able to catch foreign exceptions anyway, so this is unnecessary
compromise.

This makes we use `__clang_call_terminate` as in the default Itanium EH
for Emscripten EH. We may later fix Wasm EH too but that requires more
efforts in the backend.

Reapply [CaptureTracking][FunctionAttrs] Add support for CaptureInfo (#125880) (#128020)
Relative to the previous attempt this includes two fixes:
 * Adjust callCapturesBefore() to not skip captures(ret: address,
    provenance) arguments, as these will not count as a capture
    at the call-site.
 * When visiting uses during stack slot optimization, don't skip
    the ModRef check for passthru captures. Calls can both modref
    and be passthru for captures.

This extends CaptureTracking to support inferring non-trivial
CaptureInfos. The focus of this patch is to only support FunctionAttrs,
other users of CaptureTracking will be updated in followups.

The key API changes here are:

* DetermineUseCaptureKind() now returns a UseCaptureInfo where the UseCC
component specifies what is captured at that Use and the ResultCC
component specifies what may be captured via the return value of the
User. Usually only one or the other will be used (corresponding to
previous MAY_CAPTURE or PASSTHROUGH results), but both may be set for
call captures.
* The CaptureTracking::captures() extension point is passed this
UseCaptureInfo as well and then can decide what to do with it by
returning an Action, which is one of: Stop: stop traversal.
ContinueIgnoringReturn: continue traversal but don't follow the
instruction return value. Continue: continue traversal and follow the
instruction return value if it has additional CaptureComponents.

For now, this patch retains the (unsound) special logic for comparison
of null with a dereferenceable pointer. I'd like to switch key code to
take advantage of address/address_is_null before dropping it.

This PR mainly intends to introduce necessary API changes and basic
inference support, there are various possible improvements marked with
TODOs.

[clang][CodeGen] Additional fixes for #114062 (#128166)
This addresses two issues introduced by moving indirect args into an
explicit AS (please see
<https://github.com/llvm/llvm-project/pull/114062#issuecomment-2659829790>
and
<https://github.com/llvm/llvm-project/pull/114062#issuecomment-2661158477>):

1. Unconditionally stripping casts from a pre-allocated return slot was
incorrect / insufficient (this is illustrated by the
`amdgcn_sret_ctor.cpp` test);
2. Putting compiler manufactured sret args in a non default AS can lead
to a C-cast (surprisingly) requiring an AS cast (this is illustrated by
the `sret_cast_with_nonzero_alloca_as.cpp test).

The way we handle (2), by subverting CK_BitCast emission iff a sret arg
is involved, is quite naff, but I couldn't think of any other way to use
a non default indirect AS and make this case work (hopefully this is a
failure of imagination on my part).

[WebAssembly] Generate invokes with llvm.wasm.(re)throw (#128105)
Even though `__builtin_wasm_throw`, which is lowered down to
`llvm.wasm.throw`, throws,
```cpp
try {
  __builtin_wasm_throw(0, obj);
} catch (...) {
}
```
does not generate `invoke`. This is because we have assumed the
intrinsic cannot be invoked, which doesn't make much sense. (See #128104
for the historical context)

#128104 made `llvm.wasm.throw` intrinsic invokable in the backend. This
actually generates `invoke`s in Clang for `__builtin_wasm_throw`.

While we're at it, this also generates `invoke`s for
`__builtin_wasm_rethrow`, which is actually not used anywhere in C++
support. I haven't deleted it just in case in may have uses later. (For
example, to support rethrow functionality that carries stack trace with
exnref)

Depends on #128104 for the CI to pass.

[MergeFuncs] Don't introduce calls to (linkonce,weak)_odr functions. (#125050)
Avoid creating new calls to linkonce_odr/weak_odr functions when
merging 2 functions, as this may introduce an infinite call
cycle.

Consider 2 functions below, both present in 2 modules.

[ARM,AArch64] Fix ABI bugs with over-sized bitfields (#126774)
This fixes two bugs in the ABI for over-sized bitfields for ARM and
AArch64:

The container type picked for an over-sized bitfield already contributes
to the alignment of the structure, but it should also contribute to the
"unadjusted alignment" which is used by the ARM and AArch64 PCS.

AAPCS64 defines the bitfield layout algorithm for over-sized bitfields
as picking a container which is the fundamental integer data type with
the largest size less than or equal to the bit-field width. Since
AAPCS64 has a 128-bit integer fundamental data type, we need to consider
Int128 as a container type for AArch64.

7e3735d1a1 Reapply [CaptureTracking][FunctionAttrs] Add support for CaptureInfo (#125880)
Relative to the previous attempt, this adjusts isEscapeSource()
to not treat calls with captures(ret: address, provenance) or similar
arguments as escape sources. This addresses the miscompile reported at:
https://github.com/llvm/llvm-project/pull/125880#issuecomment-2656632577

The implementation uses a helper function on CallBase to make this
check a bit more efficient (e.g. by skipping the byval checks) as
checking attributes on all arguments if fairly expensive.

This extends CaptureTracking to support inferring non-trivial

other users of CaptureTracking will be updated in followups.

[clang][CodeGen] sret args should always point to the alloca AS, so use that (#114062)
`sret` arguments are always going to reside in the stack/`alloca`
address space, which makes the current formulation where their AS is
derived from the pointee somewhat quaint. This patch ensures that `sret`
ends up pointing to the `alloca` AS in IR function signatures, and also
guards agains trying to pass a casted `alloca`d pointer to a `sret` arg,
which can happen for most languages, when compiled for targets that have
a non-zero `alloca` AS (e.g. AMDGCN) / map `LangAS::default` to a
non-zero value (SPIR-V). A target could still choose to do something
different here, by e.g. overriding `classifyReturnType` behaviour.

In a broader sense, this patch extends non-aliased indirect args to also
carry an AS, which leads to changing the `getIndirect()` interface. At
the moment we're only using this for (indirect) returns, but it allows
for future handling of indirect args themselves. We default to using the
AllocaAS as that matches what Clang is currently doing, however if, in
the future, a target would opt for e.g. placing indirect returns in some
other storage, with another AS, this will require revisiting.

[clang][DebugInfo][test] Add tests for C++20 non-type template parameters (#127056)
This exercises the codepath where we create `DITemplateValueParameter`s
whose `TemplateArgument::ArgKind` is `StructuralValue`, which was added
in (https://github.com/llvm/llvm-project/pull/78041). Previously, not
emitting a `value`/`defaulted` for such template argument nodes didn't
fail any tests.

[CaptureTracking][FunctionAttrs] Add support for CaptureInfo (#125880)
This extends CaptureTracking to support inferring non-trivial
CaptureInfos. The focus of this patch is to only support FunctionAttrs,
other users of CaptureTracking will be updated in followups.

The key API changes here are:

* DetermineUseCaptureKind() now returns a UseCaptureInfo where the UseCC
component specifies what is captured at that Use and the ResultCC
component specifies what may be captured via the return value of the
User. Usually only one or the other will be used (corresponding to
previous MAY_CAPTURE or PASSTHROUGH results), but both may be set for
call captures.
* The CaptureTracking::captures() extension point is passed this
UseCaptureInfo as well and then can decide what to do with it by
returning an Action, which is one of: Stop: stop traversal.
ContinueIgnoringReturn: continue traversal but don't follow the
instruction return value. Continue: continue traversal and follow the
instruction return value if it has additional CaptureComponents.

For now, this patch retains the (unsound) special logic for comparison
of null with a dereferenceable pointer. I'd like to switch key code to
take advantage of address/address_is_null before dropping it.

This PR mainly intends to introduce necessary API changes and basic
inference support, there are various possible improvements marked with
TODOs.

[clang] Do not emit template parameter objects as COMDATs when they have internal linkage. (#125448)
Per the ELF spec, section groups may only contain local symbols if those
symbols are only
referenced from within the section group. [1] In the case of template
parameter objects,
they can be referenced from outside the group when the type of the
object was declared
in an anonymous namespace. In that case, we can't place the object in a
COMDAT. This matches
GCC's linkage behavior on the test input.

[Clang][P1061] Add stuctured binding packs (#121417)
This is an implementation of P1061 Structure Bindings Introduce a Pack
without the ability to use packs outside of templates. There is a couple
of ways the AST could have been sliced so let me know what you think.
The only part of this change that I am unsure of is the
serialization/deserialization stuff. I followed the implementation of
other Exprs, but I do not really know how it is tested. Thank you for
your time considering this.

[IR] Convert from nocapture to captures(none) (#123181)
This PR removes the old `nocapture` attribute, replacing it with the new
`captures` attribute introduced in #116990. This change is
intended to be essentially NFC, replacing existing uses of `nocapture`
with `captures(none)` without adding any new analysis capabilities.
Making use of non-`none` values is left for a followup.

Some notes:
* `nocapture` will be upgraded to `captures(none)` by the bitcode
   reader.
* `nocapture` will also be upgraded by the textual IR reader. This is to
   make it easier to use old IR files and somewhat reduce the test churn in
   this PR.
* Helper APIs like `doesNotCapture()` will check for `captures(none)`.
* MLIR import will convert `captures(none)` into an `llvm.nocapture`
   attribute. The representation in the LLVM IR dialect should be updated
   separately.

[clang-cl]: generate debug info when novtable is specified (#124643)
When no vtable is emitted in the debug info because a record was marked
`__declspec(novtable)`, only a forward declaration of that type will be
emitted. This PR fixes that by not omitting the definition for the
`RecordDecl` in this case.

Fixes #124638.

HandleImmediateInvocation can call MarkExpressionAsImmediateEscalating 
and should always be called before
CheckImmediateEscalatingFunctionDefinition.
    
However, we were not doing that in `ActFunctionBody`.

[AArch64] Implement NEON FP8 vectors as VectorType (#123603)
Reimplement Neon FP8 vector types using attribute `neon_vector_type`
instead of having them as builtin types.
This allows to implement FP8 Neon intrinsics without the need to add
special cases for these types when using `__builtin_shufflevector`
or bitcast (using C-style cast operator) between vectors, both
extensively used in the generated code in `arm_neon.h`.

[Clang] Remove 3-element vector load and store special handling (#104661)
Clang uses a long-time special handling of the case where 3 element
vector loads and stores are performed as 4 element, and then a
shufflevector is used to extract the used elements. Odd sized vector
codegen should now work reasonably well.

This patch removes the compiler argument `-fpreserve-vec3-type` and adds
a target hook to determine if the special handling of vector type is
needed.
