[AMDGPU] New clang option for emitting a waitcnt instruction after each memory instruction (#79236)
This patch introduces a new command-line option for clang, namely,
amdgpu-precise-mem-op (or precise-memory in the backend). When this option is specified, a waitcnt
instruction is generated after each memory load/store instruction. The
counter values are always 0, but which counters are involved depends on
the memory instruction.

[clang][test] Avoid writing to a potentially write-protected dir (#88258)
This test just checks for the stdout/stderr of clang, but it
incidentally tries to write to `a.out` in the current directory, which
may be write protected. Typically one would write `clang -o %t.o` for a
writeable dir, but since we only care about stdout/stderr, throw away
the object file and just write to /dev/null instead.

[LinkerWrapper] Relax ordering of static libraries for offloading (#87532)
Summary:
The linker wrapper attempts to maintain consistent semantics with
existing host invocations. Static libraries by default only extract if
there are non-weak symbols that remain undefined. However, we have
situations between linkers that put different meanings on ordering. The
ld.bfd linker requires static libraries to be defined after the symbols,
while `ld.lld` relaxes this rule. The linker wrapper went with the
former as it's the easier solution, however this has caused a lot of
issues as I've had to explain this rule to several people, it also make
it difficult to include things like `libc` in the OpenMP runtime because
it would sometimes be linked before or after.

This patch reworks the logic to more or less perform the following logic
for static libraries.

  1. Split library / object inputs.
  2. Include every object input and record its undefined symbols
  3. Repeatedly try to extract static libraries to resolve these
     symbols. If a file is extracted we need to check every library
     again to resolve any new undefined symbols.

This allows the following to work and will cause fewer issues when
replacing HIP, which does `--whole-archive` so it's very likely the old
logic will regress.

Reland "[Win32][ELF] Make CodeView a DebugInfoFormat only for COFF format" (#87987)
This relands #87149.

The previous commit exposed failures on some targets. The reason is only
a few targets support COFF ObjectFormatType on Windows:

With #87149, the targets don't support COFF will report "warning:
argument unused during compilation: '-gcodeview-command-line'
[-Wunused-command-line-argument]" in the test gcodeview-command-line.c

This patch limits gcodeview-command-line.c only run on targets support
COFF.

[Driver] Ensure ToolChain::LibraryPaths is not empty for non-Darwin
Follow-up to #81037.

ToolChain::LibraryPaths holds the new compiler-rt library directory
(e.g. `/tmp/Debug/lib/clang/19/lib/x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu`). However,
it might be empty when the directory does not exist (due to the `if
(getVFS().exists(P))` change in https://reviews.llvm.org/D158475).

If neither the old/new compiler-rt library directories exists, we would
suggest the undesired old compiler-rt file name:

Fix "[clang][UBSan] Add implicit conversion check for bitfields" (#87761)
Fix since #75481 got reverted.

- Explicitly set BitfieldBits to 0 to avoid uninitialized field member
for the integer checks:

```
CK_LValueToRValue when going from, e.g., char to char, and

2921a0928c Make the argument -Xcuda-ptxas visible to the driver in cl-mode
It has been noticed that the arguments are being passed twice to ptxas.
This also has been fixed by filtering out the arguments before appending
them to the new DAL created by CudaToolChain::TranslateArgs.

[driver] Make --version show if assertions, etc. are enabled (#87585)
It's useful to have some significant build options visible in the
version when investigating problems with a specific compiler artifact.
This makes it easy to see if assertions, expensive checks, sanitizers,
etc. are enabled when checking a compiler version.

Example config line output:

7a8cf951b3 AArch64-Darwin: allow -mcmodel=large with (default) PIC
Darwin targets implement -mcmodel=large by forcing all global accesses to use
the GOT, instead of the ELF movz/movk sequence. That means it's compatible with
PIC so the Clang driver shouldn't reject the option.

Revert is not needed as the regression was fixed with

I assumed the crash and warning are different issues, but according to

fixing warning resolves the crash.

72c29fa9e2 [C++20] [Modules] [Driver] Emit unused argument warning if we use '-fmodule-output' with non-module input
We required the file name of an 'importable module unit' should end
with .cppm (or .ccm, .cxxm, .c++m).

But the driver can accept '-fmodule-output' for files with normal
suffixes (e.g., .cpp). This is somewhat inconsistency.

In this patch, we only claim the option `-fmodule-output` is used if
the type of the input file is modules related. Then now the compiler
will emit 'unused argument' warnings if the input file is not modules
related.

f599116152 [Driver,test] Remove --gcc-toolchain=""
This option was added so that changing CMake GCC_INSTALL_PREFIX would
not cause test failures or due to cargo culting. Setting
GCC_INSTALL_PREFIX leads to an error now and we should stop making our
tests ugly.

[clang-cl] Allow a colon after /Fo option (#87209)

8513a681f7#

According to
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/build/reference/fo-object-file-name?view=msvc-170,
`/Fo` accepts a trailing-colon variant. This is also tested in practice.
This allows clang-cl to parse this.

I just copied one of the existing tests, let me know if this is not the
best way to do this. I tested that the test does not pass beofre the
Options.td change, and that it does after.

[clang][Darwin] Handle reexported library arguments in driver (#86980)
`-reexport*` is the newer spelling for `-sub-library` which is already
supported by the clang driver when invoking ld.
Support the new spellings when passed by the user. This also helps
simplify `clang-installapi` driver logic.

[AIX][TOC] -mtocdata/-mno-tocdata fix non deterministic iteration order (#86840)
Failure with testcase toc-conf.c observed when building with
LLVM_REVERSE_ITERATION=ON.
Changing from using llvm::StringSet to std::set<llvm:StringRef> to
ensure iteration order is deterministic. Note: the functionality of the
feature does not require a specific iteration order, however, this will
allow testing to be consistent.
From llvm docs:
The advantages of std::set are that its iterators are stable (deleting
or inserting an element from the set does not affect iterators or
pointers to other elements) and that iteration over the set is
guaranteed to be in sorted order.

[Offload] Change unregister library to use atexit instead of destructor (#86830)
Summary:
The 'new driver' sets up the lifetime of a registered liftime using
global constructors and destructors. Currently, this is put at priority
1 which isn't strictly conformant as it will conflict with system
utilities. We now use 101 as this is the loweest suggested for
non-system constructors and will still run before user constructors.

Secondly, there were issues with the CUDA runtime when destructed with a
global destructor. Because the global ones are in any order and
potentially run before other things we were hitting an edge case where
the OpenMP runtime was uninitialized *after* `_dl_fini` was called. This
would result in us erroring when we call into a destroyed `libcuda.so`
instance. using `atexit` is what CUDA / HIP use and it prevents this
from happening. Most everything uses `atexit` except system utilities
and because of the constructor priority it will be unregistered *after*
everything else but not after `_fl_fini`.

[AArch64] Remove Automatic Enablement of FEAT_F32MM (#85203)
When `+sve` is passed in the command line, if the Architecture being
targeted is V8.6A/V9.1A or later, `+f32mm` is also added. This enables
FEAT_32MM, however at the time of writing no CPU's support this. This
leads to the FEAT_32MM instructions being compiled for CPU's that do not
support them.

This commit removes the automatic enablement, however the option is
still able to be used by passing `+f32mm`.

[CLANG] Full support of complex multiplication and division. (#81514)
In clang there are two options `-f[no]cx-limited-range` and
`-f[no]cx-fortran-rules` that control the range of complex
multiplication and division. However, it is unclear how these options
interact with one another. For instance, what should happen when the
users compile with `-fcx-fortran-rules -fno-cx-limited-range` or
`-fcx-limited-range -fno-cx-fortran-rules`?

In this patch we are introducing a new option to solve the issue and
give a greater flexibility to the user to control the behavior of the
compiler when performing multiplication and division of complex
floating-point values.

`-fcomplex-arihmetic=[full|improved|promoted|basic]`

`full`: Implementation of complex division and multiplication using a
call to runtime library functions (generally the case, but the BE might
sometimes replace the library call if it knows enough about the
potential range of the inputs). Overflow and non-finite values are
handled by the library implementation. For the case of multiplication
overflow will occur in accordance with normal floating-point rules. This
is the default value.

`improved`: Implementation of complex division using the Smith algorithm
at source precision. Smith's algorithm for complex division. See SMITH,
R. L. Algorithm 116: Complex division. Commun. ACM 5, 8 (1962). This
value offers improved handling for overflow in intermediate
calculations, but overflow may occur. NaN and infinite values are not
handled in some cases.

`promoted`: Implementation of complex division using algebraic formulas
at higher precision. Overflow is handled. Non-finite values are handled
in some cases. If the target does not have native support for a higher
precision data type, the implementation for the complex operation using
the Smith algorithm will be used. Overflow may still occur in some
cases. NaN and infinite values are not handled.

`basic`: Implementation of complex division and multiplication using
algebraic formulas at source precision. No special handling to avoid
overflow. NaN and infinite values are not handled.

`fcx-limited-range` will alias `-fcomplex-arithmetic=basic`
`-fcx-fortran-rules` will alias `-fcomplex-arithmetic=improved`
`-fno-cx-limited-range` and `-fno-cx-fortran-rules` will alias
`-fcomplex-arithmetic=full`

The complex division and multiplication will be implemented as follows
depending on the option used.

MIPS: Support -m(no-)unaligned-access for r6 (#85174)
MIPSr6 ISA requires normal load/store instructions support
misunaligned memory access, while it is not always do so
by hardware. On some microarchitectures or some corner cases
it may need support by OS.

Don't confuse with pre-R6's lwl/lwr famlily: MIPSr6 doesn't
support them, instead, r6 requires lw instruction support
misunaligned memory access. So, if -mstrict-align is used for
pre-R6, lwl/lwr won't be disabled.

If -mstrict-align is used for r6 and the access is not well
aligned, some lb/lh instructions will be used to replace lw.
This is useful for OS kernels.

To be back-compatible with GCC, -m(no-)unaligned-access are also
added as Neg-Alias of -m(no-)strict-align.

[Hexagon] ELF attributes for Hexagon (#85359)
Defines a subset of attributes and emits them to a section called
.hexagon.attributes.

The current attributes recorded are the attributes needed by
llvm-objdump to automatically determine target features and eliminate
the need to manually pass features.

[Driver] -fsanitize=undefined: don't expand to signed-integer-overflow if -fwrapv (#85501)
Linux kernel uses -fwrapv to change signed integer overflows from
undefined behaviors to defined behaviors. However, the security folks
still want -fsanitize=signed-integer-overflow diagnostics. Their
intention can be expressed with -fwrapv
-fsanitize=signed-integer-overflow (#80089). This mode by default
reports recoverable errors while still making signed integer overflows
defined (most UBSan checks are recoverable by default: you get errors in
stderr, but the program is not halted).

-fsanitize=undefined -fwrapv users likely want to suppress
signed-integer-overflow, unless signed-integer-overflow is explicitly
enabled. Implement this suppression.

[AArch64] Add soft-float ABI (#84146)
This is re-working of #74460, which adds a soft-float ABI for AArch64.
That was reverted because it causes errors when building the linux and
fuchsia kernels.

The problem is that GCC's implementation of the ABI compatibility checks
when using the hard-float ABI on a target without FP registers does it's
checks after optimisation. The previous version of this patch reported
errors for all uses of floating-point types, which is stricter than what
GCC does in practice.

This changes two things compared to the first version:
* Only check the types of function arguments and returns, not the types
of other values. This is more relaxed than GCC, while still guaranteeing
ABI compatibility.
* Move the check from Sema to CodeGen, so that inline functions are only
checked if they are actually used. There are some cases in the linux
kernel which depend on this behaviour of GCC.

[WebAssembly] Change the default linker for wasm32-wasip2 (#84569)
This commit changes the default linker in the WebAssembly toolchain for
the `wasm32-wasip2` target. This target is being added to the
WebAssembly/wasi-sdk and WebAssembly/wasi-libc projects to target the
Component Model by default, in contrast with the preexisting
`wasm32-wasi` target (in the process of being renamed to
`wasm32-wasip1`) which outputs a core WebAssembly module by default.

The `wasm-component-ld` project currently lives in my GitHub account at
https://github.com/alexcrichton/wasm-component-ld and isn't necessarily
"official" yet, but it's expected to continue to evolve as the
`wasm32-wasip2` target continues to shape up and evolve.

Reland Print library module manifest path again (#84881)
Following of https://github.com/llvm/llvm-project/pull/82160

The reason why the above PR fails is that the `--sysroot` has lower
priority than the libc++ built from the same source. On the one hand, it
matches the codes behavior. We will add the built libc++ project paths
in the ToolChain class. But we will only add the path related to sysroot
in Linux class, which is derived from the ToolChain classes. So the
paths of just built libc++ is in the front of the paths relative to
sysroot. On the other hand, the behavior should be good from the higher
level. Since the just built libc++ has the same version number with the
just built clang, so it makes sense that these 2 compilers just matches.

So for patch it self, I hacked it by using resource dir in the test
since the resource dir has the higher priority, which is not strongly
correct since we won't do that in practice.

@kaz7 would you like to test on your environment to avoid this get
reverted again?

On the libc++ side, it shows that it lacks a `modules.json` file for the
just built libc++ directory. If we don't have that, it will be
problematic to use std modules from the just built clang and libc++
pair. Then it is not good. And I feel it may be problematic for future
compiler/standard library developers. So I feel this is somewhat a
libc++ issue that need to be fixed.

Also if we don't like the hacked test in the current patch, we must wait
for libc++ to fix this to proceed. But I feel this is somewhat odd since
the test of clang shouldn't dependent on libc++.

[NVPTX] Add -march=general option to mirror default configuration (#85222)
This PR adds `-march=generic` support for the NVPTX backend. This
fulfills a TODO introduced in #79873.

With this PR, users can explicitly request the "default" CUDA
architecture, which makes sure that no specific architecture is
specified.

This PR does not address any compatibility issues between different CUDA
versions.
