The `--gcc-toolchain` and `--gcc-install-dir` option were previously only visible to the Clang driver, but not Flang. These determine which assembler, linker, and libraries to use, e.g. for cross-compiling, and therefore are relevant for Flang as well.
Tests are implemented using a mock GCC installation in `basic_cross_linux_tree` copied over from Clang's tests. The Clang driver already contains tests with `--driver-mode=flang` but `flang-new` is an entirely different executable (containing the `-fc1` stage) that should be tested as well. While not all files in `basic_cross_linux_tree` are strictly needed for testing those two driver flags, they will be necessarily needed for future added flags such as `--rtlib`.
Also remove the entry `*.o` in flang's `.gitignore` since `crt*.o` files are needed in the GCC mock installation.
Fixes#86729
The flang driver was silently ignoring the `main()` function in
`Fortran_main.a` for entry into the Fortran program unit if an external
`main()` as supplied (e.g., via cross-language linkage with Fortran and
C/C++). This PR fixes this by making sure that the linker always pulls
in the `main()` definition from `Fortran_main.a` and consequently fails
due to multiple definitions of the same symbol if another object file
also has a definition of `main()`.
When the work on the Flang driver started, we created 2 test
directories:
* flang/test/Frontend/
* flang/test/Driver/
That was mostly done to model what Clang was doing. In practice, we
stopped using "flang/test/Frontend/" early on and most Flang driver
tests are currently located in "flang/test/Driver/". This patch moves
the remaining tests from the latter into the former directory.
This change also means that we can re-use test input files, i.e.
flang/test/Frontend/Inputs/hello-world.f90 can be replaced with
flang/test/Driver/Inputs/hello.f90. To this end, the affected test is
updated (multiple-input-files.f90).

Until now we've been maintaining 2 test directories for Flang's drivers:
* test/Driver for `f18` (the current driver)
* test/Flang-Driver for `flang-new` (the new driver)
As we have started sharing tests between the drivers, this separation is
no longer required. This patch merges the two test directories. As
suggested in the review, moving forward we'll avoid having tests
specifically for the old driver.
A few notable changes:
* Driver/version-test.f90 and Driver/no-files.f90 are deleted. The
versions for the new driver are more robust, but tricky to share.
* Driver/write-module.f90 is deleted in favour of
Flang-Driver/write-module.f90 (see https://reviews.llvm.org/D97197
for more context)

When flang is invoked with no files it waits for input on stdin. Make it
print a message saying this to prevent the user being surprised.
