[DebugInfo][RemoveDIs] Make debugify pass convert to/from RemoveDIs mode (#73251)
Debugify is extremely useful as a testing and debugging tool, and a good
number of LLVM-IR transform tests use it. We need it to support "new"
non-instruction debug-info to get test coverage, but it's not important
enough to completely convert right now (and it'd be a large
undertaking). Thus: convert to/from dbg.value/DPValue mode on entry and
exit of the pass, which gives us the functionality without any further
work. The cost is compile-time, but again this is only happening during
tests.

Tested by: the large set of debugify tests enabled here. Note the
InstCombine test (cast-mul-select.ll) that hasn't been fully enabled:
this is because there's a debug-info sinking piece of code there that
hasn't been instrumented.

211cf8a384 [test] Use -passes in more Transforms tests
Another step towards getting rid of dependencies to the legacy
pass manager.

Primary change here is to just do -passes=foo instead of -foo in
simple situations (when running a single transform pass). But also
updated a few test running multiple passes.

Also removed some "duplicated" RUN lines in a few tests that where
using both -foo and -passes=foo syntax. No need to do the same kind
of testing twice.

e75a2dfe20 [tests] Stablize tests for possible change in deref semantics
There's a potential change in dereferenceability attribute semantics in the nearish future. See llvm-dev thread "RFC: Decomposing deref(N) into deref(N) + nofree" and D99100 for context.

This change simply adds appropriate attributes to tests to keep transform logic exercised under both old and new/proposed semantics. Note that for many of these cases, O3 would infer exactly these attributes on the test IR.

This change handles the idiomatic pattern of a dereferenceable object being passed to a call which can not free that memory. There's a couple other tests which need more one-off attention, they'll be handled in another change.

7de6dcd246 [Debugify] Skip debugifying on special/immutable passes
With a function pass manager, it would insert debuginfo metadata before
getting to function passes while processing the pass manager, causing
debugify to skip while running the function passes.

Skip special passes + verifier + printing passes. Compared to the legacy
implementation of -debugify-each, this additionally skips verifier
passes. Probably no need to update the legacy version since it will be
obsolete soon.

This fixes 2 instcombine tests using -debugify-each under NPM.

f26bdb539e Make Value::getPointerAlignment() return an Align, not a MaybeAlign.
If we don't know anything about the alignment of a pointer, Align(1) is
still correct: all pointers are at least 1-byte aligned.

Included in this patch is a bugfix for an issue discovered during this
cleanup: pointers with "dereferenceable" attributes/metadata were
assumed to be aligned according to the type of the pointer. This
wasn't intentional, as far as I can tell, so Loads.cpp was fixed to
stop making this assumption. Frontends may need to be updated. I
updated clang's handling of C++ references, and added a release note for
this.

04e586151e [InstCombine] Fix worklist management when removing guard intrinsic
When multiple guard intrinsics are merged into one, currently the
result of eraseInstFromFunction() is returned -- however, this
should only be done if the current instruction is being removed.
In this case we're removing a different instruction and should
instead report that the current one has been modified by returning it.

For this test case, this reduces the number of instcombine iterations
from 5 to 2 (the minimum possible).

79e917d117 [InstCombine] Widen guards with conditions between
The previous handling for guard widening in InstCombine was extremely restrictive. In particular, it didn't handle the common case where we had two guards separated by a single icmp. Handle this by scanning through a small fixed window of instructions to find the next guard if needed.

e0e5795f6b [InstCombine] Allow InstCombine to merge adjacent guards
Summary:
If there are two adjacent guards with different conditions, we can
remove one of them and include its condition into the condition of
another one. This patch allows InstCombine to merge them by the
following pattern:

    guard(a); guard(b) -> guard(a & b).

7516192a71 Revert a couple of InstCombine/Guard checkins
This change reverts:

r293061: "[InstCombine] Canonicalize guards for NOT OR condition"
r293058: "[InstCombine] Canonicalize guards for AND condition"

They miscompile cases like:

```
declare void @llvm.experimental.guard(i1, ...)
define void @test_guard_not_or(i1 %A, i1 %B) {
  %C = or i1 %A, %B
  %D = xor i1 %C, true
  call void(i1, ...) @llvm.experimental.guard(i1 %D, i32 20, i32 30)[ "deopt"() ]
  ret void
}
```

because they do transfer the `i32 20, i32 30` parameters to newly
created guard instructions.
