[DWP] Fix default for continue-on-cu-index-overflow (#75540)
This is follow up for https://github.com/llvm/llvm-project/pull/71902.
The
default option --continue-on-cu-index-overflow returned an error
--continue-on-cu-index-overflow: missing argument. Changed it so that it
is the
same behavior as other flags like -gsplit-dwarf. Where
--continue-on-cu-index-overflow will default to continue, and user can
set mode
with --continue-on-cu-index-overflow=\<value>.

[DebugInfo] Correctly report header parsing errors from DWARFContext::fixupIndex (#69505)
In ef762e5e7292, I shifted around where errors were reported when
failing to parse and/or validate DWARFUnitHeaders. When we are doing so
in DWARFContext::fixupIndex, the actual error message isn't prefixed
with `warning:` like it would be elsewhere (because of the way
`logAllUnhandledErrors` is implemented).

[DebugInfo] Separate error generation from reporting in DWARFHeaderUnit::extract (#68242)
Instead of reporting the error directly through the DWARFContext passed
in as an argument, it would be more flexible to have extract return the
error and allow the caller to react appropriately.

This will be useful for using llvm's DWARFHeaderUnit from lldb which may
report header extraction errors through a different mechanism.

53a483cee8 [DWP] add overflow check for llvm-dwp tools if offset overflow
Now, if the offset overflow happens, we just silently ignore it.
We will generate a bad dwp file, which will crash the gdb or make
it undefined behavior, and hard to address the root cause. So, we
need to produce some messages if overflow happens.

[NFC][Py Reformat] Reformat lit.local.cfg python files in llvm
This is a follow-up to b71edfaa4ec3c998aadb35255ce2f60bba2940b0
since I forgot the lit.local.cfg files in that one.

Reformatting is done with `black`.

If you end up having problems merging this commit because you
have made changes to a python file, the best way to handle that
is to run git checkout --ours <yourfile> and then reformat it
with black.

If you run into any problems, post to discourse about it and
we will try to help.

22afe19ac0 DebugInfo: Rebuild dwp debug_info index column from v5 indexes more robustly
the v4 rebuilding is a best-effort because it's not possible to reliably
parse the DWO ID as it requires the abbrev section (& if the index isn't
trustworthy then there's no way to find the associated abbrev section
contribution for a given info section contribution)

But in v5 the DWO ID/type signature is in the header and can be rebuilt
losslessly (only at the cost of performance of rescanning/parsing the
headers of all the units), so let's implement that.

the testing isn't /ideal/ - I think the testing should've been
implemented as a hardcoded dwp file with a corrupted/incorrect index,
then the test could've demonstrated that reparsing the index produces
the right answer - but this is a quick port of the existing v5 test back
to v4 so that we don't lose coverage on the v4 codepath now that it's
separated from the v5 codepath.

302079ae9a Simplify index rebuilding test.
This isn't an ideal test - probably would be better if it had a
corrupted index (& was hardcoded - so it didn't depend on llvm-dwp) to
demonstrate that index rebuilding produces a distinct result.

But, ah well, this'll do for now.

c0db062277 [DWARFLibrary] Add support to re-construct cu-index
According to DWARF5 specification and gnu specification for DWARF4 the offset
entry in the CU/TU Index is 32 bits. This presents a problem when
.debug_info.dwo in DWP file grows beyond 4GB. The CU Index becomes partially
corrupted.

This diff adds manual parsing of .debug_info.dwo/.debug_abbrev.dwo to
reconstruct CU index in general, and TU index for DWARF5. This is a work around
until DWARF6 spec is finalized.

Next patch will change internal CU/TU struct to 64 bit, and change uses as
necessary. The plan is to land all the patches in one go after all are approved.

6139626d73 llvm-dwp: Include dwo name even when the input is a dwo
This still only includes the dwo name if it's in the DW_AT_dwo_name
attribute in the split unit - though it could be improved/modified to
use the dwo name from the command line (if linking raw dwo files) or
retrieved from the DW_AT_dwo_name in the executable (when using -e).

It's useful in any case because you might have a large command line with
many files and knowing exactly which dwo files are relevant will
simplify debugging, but especially with '-e' when you didn't pass the
dwo files explicitly in nthe first place it would be quite non-obvious
where the duplicate units are coming from.

595b1683b7 [llvm-dwp] Skip type unit debug info sections
This patch makes llvm-dwp skip debug info sections that may not be encoding a compile unit.
In DWARF5, debug info sections are also used for type units. As in preparation to support type units,
make llvm-dwp aware of other uses of debug info sections but skip them for now.

The patch first records all .debug_info sections, then goes through them one by one and records
the cu debug info section for writing the index unit, and copies that section to the final dwp output
info section. If it's not a compile unit, skip.

6ffcb2937c [llvm-dwp] Join dwo paths correctly when DWOPath is absolute
When the `DWOPath` is absolute, we want to use `DWOPath` as is, without prepending any other
components to the path. The `sys::path::append` does not join, but rather unconditionally appends
the paths, so something like `sys::path::append("/tmp", "/tmp/banana")` will result in
`/tmp/tmp/banana` rather than the desired `/tmp/banana`.

This then causes `llvm-dwp` to fail in a following situation:
