On AVX1 targets we can handle v4i64 logical shifts by 32 bits as a pair of v8f32 shuffles with zero.
I was hoping to put this in LowerScalarImmediateShift, but performing that early causes regressions where other instructions were respliting the subvectors.
While working on D97208 I noticed that these greedy regular
expressions prevent tests from failing when (%rip) appears after
a constant pool label when it didn't before.

If we lower a v2i64 shuffle to PSHUFD, we currently clamp undef elements to 0, (elements 0,1 of the v4i32) which can result in the shuffle referencing more elements of the source vector than expected, affecting later shuffle combines and KnownBits/SimplifyDemanded calls.
By ensuring we widen the undef mask element we allow getV4X86ShuffleImm8 to use inline elements as the default, which are more likely to fold.
If we're extracting an upper subvector from a broadcast we're better off extracting the lowest subvector instead as it avoids an actual extract instruction and might help SimplifyDemandedVectorElts further simplify the code.
A lot of vectorized code doesn't use masks so we shouldn't penalize them by not doing shuffle combining on avx512 targets.
I've added support for VALIGNQ/VALIGND and 512-bit SHUF128 to prevent some regressions. I also prevented recombining 256-bit SHUF128 to PERM2X128. We may not need to add 256-bit SHUF128 support, but I don't think I found any cases requiring that in my testing.

If we don't need the upper subvector elements of the BLENDI node then use a smaller vector size.
This causes a couple of minor regressions in insertelement-ones.ll which are more examples of PR26018; given how cheap allones generation is I don't consider that a showstopper, just an annoyance (and there's plenty of other poor codegen cases in that file).
The initial attempt (rG89633320) botched the logic by reversing
the source/dest types. Added x86 tests for additional coverage.
The vector tests show a potential improvement (fold vector load
instead of broadcasting), but that's a known/existing problem.
This fold is done in IR by instcombine, and we have a special
form of it already here in DAGCombiner, but we want the more
general transform too:
https://rise4fun.com/Alive/3jZm
Name: general
Pre: (C1 + zext(C2) < 64)
%s = lshr i64 %x, C1
%t = trunc i64 %s to i16
%r = lshr i16 %t, C2
=>
%s2 = lshr i64 %x, C1 + zext(C2)
%a = and i64 %s2, zext((1 << (16 - C2)) - 1)
%r = trunc %a to i16
Name: special
Pre: C1 == 48
%s = lshr i64 %x, C1
%t = trunc i64 %s to i16
%r = lshr i16 %t, C2
=>
%s2 = lshr i64 %x, C1 + zext(C2)
%r = trunc %s2 to i16
...because D58017 exposes a regression without this fold.
This was supposed to be NFC, but the change in SDLoc
definitions causes instruction scheduling changes.
There's nothing x86-specific in this code, and it can
likely be used from DAGCombiner's simplifyVBinOp().

As was done for vector rotations, we can efficiently use ISD::MULHU for vXi8/vXi16 ISD::SRL lowering.
Shift-by-zero cases are still problematic (mainly on v32i8 due to extra AND/ANDN/OR or VPBLENDVB blend masks but v8i16/v16i16 aren't great either if PBLENDW fails) so I've limited this first patch to known non-zero cases if we can't easily use PBLENDW.

BUILD_VECTORs aren't themselves legalized until LegalizeDAG so we should still be able to create an "illegal" one before that. This helps combine with BUILD_VECTORS that are introduced during LegalizeVectorOps due to unrolling.

This patch completely replaces the instruction scheduling information for the Haswell architecture target by modifying the file X86SchedHaswell.td located under the X86 Target.
We used the scheduling information retrieved from the Haswell architects in order to replace and modify the existing scheduling.
The patch continues the scheduling replacement effort started with the SNB target in r307529 and r310792.
Information includes latency, number of micro-Ops and used ports by each HSW instruction.
Please expect some performance fluctuations due to code alignment effects.

Summary:
For instructions such as PSLLW/PSLLD/PSLLQ a variable shift amount may be passed in an XMM register.
The lower 64-bits of the register are evaluated to determine the shift amount.

Under normal circumstances we prefer the higher performance MOVD to extract the 0'th element of a v8i16 vector instead of PEXTRW.
But as detailed on PR27265, this prevents the SSE41 implementation of PEXTRW from folding the store of the 0'th element. Additionally it prevents us from making use of the fact that the (SSE2) reg-reg version of PEXTRW implicitly zero-extends the i16 element to the i32/i64 destination register.
This patch only preferentially lowers to MOVD if we will not be zero-extending the extracted i16, nor prevent a store from being folded (on SSSE41).
Fix for PR27265.

An identity COPY like this:
%AL = COPY %AL, %EAX<imp-def>
has no semantic effect, but encodes liveness information: Further users
of %EAX only depend on this instruction even though it does not define
the full register.
Replace the COPY with a KILL instruction in those cases to maintain this
liveness information. (This reverts a small part of r238588 but this
time adds a comment explaining why a KILL instruction is useful).

The AVX2 v16i16 shift lowering works by unpacking to 2 x v8i32, performing the shift and then truncating the result.
The unpacking is used to place the values in the upper 16-bits so that we can correctly sign-extend for SRA shifts. Unfortunately we weren't ensuring that the lower 16-bits were zero to ensure that SHL correctly shifts in zero bits.

The XOP shifts just have logical/arithmetic versions and the left/right shifts are controlled by whether the value is positive/negative. Because of this I've added new X86ISD nodes instead of trying to force them to use the existing shift nodes.
Additionally Excavator cores (bdver4) support XOP and AVX2 - meaning that it should use the AVX2 shifts when it can and fall back to XOP in other cases.

While the v4i32 shl operation is already vectorized using a cvttps2dq/pmulld pattern, the lshr/ashr opeations are still scalarized.
This patch adds vectorization support for non-uniform v4i32 shift operations - it splats constant shift amounts to allow them to use the immediate sse shift instructions, or extracts/zero-extends non-constant shift amounts. The individual results are then blended together.
